Arizona is taking on cartel-driven trafficking, and it’s working.
Operation Desert Guardian is Arizona’s first statewide unified command, bringing together 12 local and state law enforcement agencies to go after Drug, human, and weapons trafficking. From December 2025 through September 2026, Operation Desert Guardian has led to 8,900+ pounds of drugs seized, 127 weapons confiscated, $19+ million in illicit drug street value intercepted, and over 2,900 ODG-related arrests made.
It doesn’t replace local law enforcement. It connects them. Thank you to every partner agency, Trooper, deputy, officer, and analyst keeping Arizona’s highways, communities, and neighborhoods safe.

Today, the Executive Tower was evacuated after a Hazardous Materials Incident. I'm glad that there are no reported injuries at this time and thankful to the first responders for their swift action.
Threats against our hard-working public servants are unacceptable. Anybody responsible for threatening or intimidating elections officials should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm closely monitoring flooding on the Navajo Nation. @DEMAArizona is in close communication with emergency management partners. I encourage every resident to follow guidance from local public safety officials and stay safe.
Twenty-five years ago, the world changed forever. Nearly 3,000 people died on September 11, 2001, and even more have lost their lives in the decades that have followed. Today, let us all reaffirm the promise we made 25 years ago: Never Forget.
