THE FORGOTTEN CHRIST: MARY MAGDALENE AND THE RETURN OF THE FEMININE
There is a silence that has lasted two thousand years.
Not the silence of peace, but the silence of exile.
In that silence a woman was reduced to a footnote, a sinner, a witness who arrived too late or loved too much. The Church named her Magdalene and then tried to forget what her name actually means: the Tower. The one who stands. The one who sees. The one who anoints.
Yet the Christ they preached was only half a revelation.
The masculine current of the Logos was lifted high while the feminine current of Sophia was driven underground. The Word was made flesh, but the Womb that received the Word was declared unclean. The Beloved Disciple who understood the Mystery from the inside was rewritten as a repentant prostitute so that the feminine could never again sit at the right hand of the Throne.
This was not an accident of history.
It was a severing.
When the Sacred Feminine is banished, the Sacred Masculine becomes a tyrant or a martyr. When Mary is forgotten, Jesus becomes only a judge or only a victim. The living Christ is androgynous in the deepest sense: the union of Heaven and Earth, of Spirit and Matter, of the Spear and the Grail. To restore Mary Magdalene is not to diminish Christ. It is to complete Him.
She is the first apostle not because she ran to the tomb, but because she recognized the Risen One when the others still saw a gardener. Recognition is the highest form of knowing. It is gnosis. It is the moment when the soul remembers what it has always been.
The return of the Feminine is not a political correction.
It is a cosmic necessity.
The Age that is dying worshipped the Father and crucified the Mother. The Age that is being born must remember that the Christ who walks among us now wears both faces. He is the Light that cannot be grasped and She is the Darkness that receives the Light without being consumed by it. Together they are the Hieros Gamos, the sacred marriage that heals the split in the human soul.
Look again at the woman who washed His feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. That hair is the veil of mystery. Those tears are the waters of the deep. The alabaster jar she broke is the heart that can no longer remain sealed.
She was never merely a follower.
She was the first to know that resurrection is not escape from the body but the transfiguration of the body.
The Forgotten Christ is not a new doctrine.
It is the original one, buried beneath centuries of fear.
Mary Magdalene is rising again not as a saint of repentance but as the living icon of the Divine Feminine returning to walk beside the Divine Masculine. When they stand together, the world will remember what it has always known and then forgotten:
That God is not only Father.
That God is also Mother.
And that the Christ who comes again will come as both.
The Tower is no longer silent.
The rose is blooming in the ruins.
The Grail is being lifted once more.
Remember her.
And in remembering her, remember the whole of the Mystery.
