Here’s an aerial shot of the track at Elvington Airfield I’ll be taking to this Monday to attempt my two @GWR for charities @MindCharity @andysmanclubuk and @Leisa_nextsteps supported by @SkateboardGB 🛹💨🇬🇧 So I’m attempting the world record for the “Farthest Distance Travelled On A Skateboard” in both 12 hours and 24 hours. To set an official new 12 hour world record I need to skate 125 miles within that time. To break the current GWR for farthest distance travelled on a skateboard in 24 hours which is 431.32 km (261.8 miles) and was achieved by Andrew Andras (USA) at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Elvington Airfield and Supercar track is 4 miles long in a circular radius. 🗺️ Statistically 32 laps of the track will set a new 13 hour record, 67 laps sets a new 24 hour GWR and finally 80 laps secures an all time great record set by Joe Mazzone not record by GWR and gets me in to history books and the 300 mile club making me the 11th skater to do it. Hopefully I’ll see you all there, spectators are welcome and the gates will open to the public at 8:00am on Monday 8th May at Elvington in York.
