For the intellectually lazy, “the Houthis” may be a convenient label. Analytically, however, it reduces a nationwide movement to the surname of one family and conceals the diversity, scale and indigenous foundations of its constituency. If you continue calling Ansar Allah 'The Houthis', read this:
The al-Houthi are a prominent Zaydi Hashemite sādah family, originally associated with the town of Hūth and later established in Saada. They are neither a tribe encompassing Ansar Allah nor a family to which all the movement’s supporters belong.
The label “Houthis” was popularised by the government of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh during its wars against the movement, identifying it with its founder, Sayyed Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi.
Ansar Allah has since developed into a broad political, social and military movement sustained by tribal alliances, religious networks, military personnel and supporters extending far beyond the al-Houthi family and its lineage.

Max Blumenthal on Tucker Carlson explains he was targeted by an Israel influence operation for reporting from Iran.
Israel operatives like Larry Loomer, Canary Mission (funded by Epstein Class billionaires) pressured the Trump Admin to arrest him upon his return.
CBP detained him after he landed in the US and confiscated his devices. Max obtained legal representation from @JeninYounesEsq of ADC who filed a lawsuit against DHS for unlawful actions. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, CBP quickly returned his devices, hoping Max would drop the lawsuit. He didn’t and the judge ruled CBP has to produce evidence showing what they did with the devices, what information they extracted, communication showing justification for the confiscation etc. In short, who told you to do this and why and what did CBP retain.
In the embedded thread, you will find the Trump administration has relied on the Israeli doxing group Canary Mission which operates in Israel and is funded by Pro-Israel billionaires in the US to target Americans critical of Israel. This evidence includes court documents from ICE and CBP agents.
The 4th Amendment restricts the US Gov’s ability to spy on Americans
Thru the Heritage Foundation, the Israel lobby created a roadmap called Project Esther so our Gov can outsource surveillance to Israeli @canarymission Now, this spying operation is going AI via Palantir🧵

These officers are not properly trained, many are white supremacists and Trump appears to want this.

It looks like tech oligarchs and their politicians have built the entire U.S. economy on top of a massive AI Ponzi scheme - which, if history is a guide, will likely end up with the government and billionaires creating yet another bailout scheme that robs the poor.

The Kennedy Center was financially stable for 55 years. One year of Trump as chairman of the board, and it’s facing bankruptcy.
If that doesn’t feel like a metaphor for what’s happening to this country, I don’t know what does.

Violence is raging in the West Bank, fueled by Israeli settlers & the extreme Netanyahu govt. America cannot sit idly by, especially as our own citizens are killed and wrongfully detained with no accountability.
This week I led 22 Senators in introducing legislation that will require the admin to answer for its inaction. We'll be bringing it to a vote.
In just over 4 years, 9 Americans have been killed in the West Bank with 0 accountability. It’s past time we get answers about their deaths & the constant injustices Palestinians face from the Israeli occupation of the West Bank.
I'm introducing a resolution requiring the State Dept to begin to answer these questions & I'll be bringing it to a vote when Congress returns.
