I realized we're looking at the political divide all wrong. It's not actually Left vs Right, it's Collectivist vs Individualist, and that's a throughline that goes back and holds throughout American history.

A nation is made up of people, and those people make laws according to their values. Were the vast majority of Americans Christian when the country was established? Yes. So what values do you think were used to make the laws and framework of our country?

Or should we believe that the values were totally unchristian in nature and all the Christians just went along with it?
I could've sworn there was a universally detested political party last century that said stuff like this and their name has been used as an insult to mean "Very evil" for decades now mainly by the people who voted for this crap, and yet they're going down the same path!
