I rarely, if ever, share anything that’s not my beloved #avfc but I think this was worth it.

The fact that Villa somehow had a free run at Nicolas Jackson in the summer should be sending shockwaves through every other boardroom in European football
Him, Suzuki, Manzambi & Mbaye are all already proving to be ludicrously good signings…

Ibrahim Mbaye… we are watching closely. Took a huge risk this summer in moving from PSG and joining Aston Villa… but it’s already paying off. Was electric in the Champions League midweek… and now the timelines going crazy for his performance off the bench against Newcastle 😮💨👏🏽
Only played 18 minutes but completed the most dribbles of any player, had 90% pass accuracy and created a chance. I can’t lie, he already looks settled in the Premier League. The perfect profile to explode in England 📈
Feel like people don’t speak about how hard it is leaving your academy club… but Mbaye is making it look easy. Moving to probably the toughest league in the world is hard… especially for an 18-year-old. It’s already looking like a good decision… and I’ve got a feeling he’s only gonna get better. Big season ahead. 🤝🏽💫

Don’t think people realise how mad it is to be 20, moving to the Prem for your first season, replacing a star player, having no pre-season and an injury at start of season, making your debut while Villa are in bad form, dropping G/A and looking good every match.
Manzambi looks like a star.
As someone who has to speak 4 languages fluently through no other choice but life circumstances, I appreciate when someone else is able to translate off the cuff, just enough to support. What a great collection of humans we’ve got at #avfc
Guys, we dodged a bazooka? #avfc
40 - Aston Villa's fifth goal vs. Fenerbahçe came at the end of a 40-pass move, where all 11 players were involved.
It's the longest passing sequence leading to a goal in major European competition this season, as well as the only one to involve all 11 players.
Style.

🇮🇹 “NBA of football” – Nicolo Zaniolo explains he enjoyed Aston Villa loan, even though they didn’t buy him
💬 "However, there was a lot of competition up front, with champions like Diaby, Watkins, Rogers, Bailey… The level was incredibly high, and then let’s just say I needed to adapt on the pitch, in life… even culturally. And then I have to be honest, I really missed Italy."

Just to be clear -- Darren England and Michael Oliver calling City games was a CLEAR violation of the FA's rules.
If you work on the side for an owner of a PL club you get a conflict of interest. Referees shall not call games if they have a conflict of interest. (I thought this was clear for most, but obviously it isn't)
Dismantle PGMOL, it is not fit for purpose.
🚨Darren England FAILED to overturn Luis Díaz’s WRONGLY DISALLOWED goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham in 2023.
Just 48 hours earlier, Darren officiated a match in the UAE, reportedly EARNING £20,000.
Manchester City WON the league that season.
After the game, the Premier League admitted a “significant human ERROR” had occurred... Diaz’s goal should have stood.

Makes you wonder. I didn’t used to think the criticism was valid but changing my mind on that. Regardless, his replacement with us seems to be equally creative too. Let’s hope the defence is better though #avfc
In the opening five league games with set-piece coach Austin MacPhee, there have been flashes of the creative attacking routines that distinguished his best work at Aston Villa. Chelsea’s four set-piece goals scored are the joint-most in the Premier League.
Defensively, however, the numbers are just as eye-catching: a division-worst five concessions from set pieces.
After a 3-0 defeat away to Brentford in their most recent match, Levi Colwill was positive about MacPhee and his fresh ideas, but scathing in his criticism of the team’s attitude and execution of them.
“We have not been good enough,” Colwill told Sky Sports. “At times, we have been bullied (at set pieces), and we need to improve at that, but we trust in our set-piece coach. We are still adjusting to new things, but we do need to improve as a team.”
Brentford’s first goal that Friday night was indicative of some of Chelsea’s broader issues when defending at corners.
