I think I'm starting to realise why Jamie Carragher & Gary Neville were so outspoken about being against the formation of the Super League... ...and it wasn't because they wanted to protect the integrity of English Football.

It was to protect Liverpool & Manchester Utd's status as the top clubs, IN English Football. Joining the Super league would only have them as the 4th and 5th biggest clubs in that competition- and no longer being known as the 1st & 2nd most powerful clubs in the Premier League.
