This is awesome. So when exactly is the 10-1 split is coming. 😉
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

I think every voter needs to decide for themselves rather than blindly trusting a party or an organization. If we want to restore Austin to the people, we need Council Members who are not afraid: + to bring real-world experience and face off against career politicians + to treat the office as an act of service to the community rather than a launchpad for higher office + to do right by their constituents, even at the cost of their political future + to state their positions clearly, honestly, and consistently + to push back on the bureaucracy and dig into why we’re taking a business-as-usual approach when better options are now available + to nurture a whistleblower culture and elevate employees who put the best interests of the city and taxpayers first + to properly vet board and commission recommendations against constituent feedback + to vote no on items that haven’t been given adequate time for review or public input + to vote no on policy that hasn’t fully considered unintended consequences + to vote no on contracts that haven’t had an open bidding process with adequate time and solicitation to attract multiple bids from qualified vendors + to vote no on contracts when performance expectations are not clearly stated upfront + to cancel service contracts with vendors who fail to deliver results and re-bid those contracts so intended recipients actually receive the benefits + to honor taxpayers as stakeholders and act as stewards of the city, ensuring public dollars achieve real results and leaving Austin better and more authentically itself By these measures, I can’t recommend a full slate. Some contests simply lack anyone capable of meeting these standards. By these measures, I believe @StevenforAustin (D1), @Bowen4Austin (D8), and @katiekam4austin (D9) are our best hopes for Austin. And you should decide for yourself.

For anyone railing on McConaughey, Jezz lays out the pro case.
Just in case anyone forgot who Matthew McConaughey really is 1. He publicly opposed COVID vaccine mandates for children while knowing kids were already dying from it. 2. 2017, he urged americans to embrace trump’s presidency and work with him. 3. Went on RUSSEL BRANDS PODCAST and defended Trump against criticism in 2020, calling liberals “condescending” and “arrogant” toward Christians in Hollywood. 4. Promoted Salesforce's AI products during a period of layoffs In 2025.

Things you learn in Texas: 1. The guy in the F-150 is worth a lot more than the dude in a Mercedes. 2. The small business owner from a state school is smarter than the majority of Ivy League grads. 3. There’s more racism in Connecticut country clubs than in rural honky-tonks. 4. Rednecks are more honorable than investment bankers. 5. The man who looks like he can’t afford the tab could buy the building. 6. They don’t ask for a deck before the meeting. 7. Prep school is where they send the problem kids. 8. If he’s wearing dusty boots, a 2XL Magellan shirt, a gold Rolex, and has a bulletproof case on his iPhone 12, you’ve already lost the negotiation. 9. “How’s business?” is a real question. “What do you do?” is a New York question. 10. Tips are bigger and egos are smaller. 11. A handshake still closes deals that a term sheet would kill. 12. The wealth is in real estate, oil, or a company nobody in Manhattan has ever heard of. 13. Your wife or daughter will never struggle finding help to change a tire. 14. Nobody asks where you went to college. 15. A weekend invitation to their ranch makes you part of the family.

First likeable thing I have heard about Paxton and people are treating it like a gotcha.
In new leaked audio of Paxton September fundraiser, the AG called for “reasonable cuts to mandatory spending” “We have to suck it up,” Paxton said. Mandatory spending includes Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, other benefits programs From @kaylaguo_ texastribune.org/2026/10/08/…

Austin is becoming one of the most important job engines in the country. It doesn’t yet have the scale of a NYC, DFW, or Houston, but the combo of growth rate plus absolute jobs added is next level.

What a watch! Cutting edge science blended with MacGyver solutions.
A fully and rapidly reusable rocket will fundamentally change how humanity accesses outer space. “The Holy Grail of Rocketry” continues the ongoing Starship series with a look back at the scrappy days of SpaceX engineers proving reuse was possible and takes you onboard a high-seas race to recover a floating Starship

I am so offended that a man would hit kids with a football. This may be fake, but it is NOT funny. It condones child abuse. If you are laughing at this you are a bad human who should not be a parent @SportsBall88 …. Did I do that right?
Remember folks, no laughing allowed at this made up commercial. If you do laugh, you apparently condone pelting kids with footballs and breaking into cars.

I had zero interest in this race but I sure do now. Vote Rosenthal.
I spent 25 years as an oil and gas engineer. Bo French spent Sunday morning sorting our student section by skin color. Greg Abbott said Bo French would "wreck" our oil and gas industry. A man who can’t tell a Longhorn from a foreigner has no business regulating anything in TX.

Let’s create a post, ask for thoughts but only let select people reply. They write their own jokes.
A Northgate bar is sharing its new dress code and it’s got people talking. Thoughts? 💭

Imagine the market crash if Bernie got his way…
Mr. Coxon is right. The very people building this technology admit that it could threaten the future of humanity. That is why I will soon be introducing legislation to ban superintelligence and pause AI development.
