How much emphasis do you place on solo & ensemble? The more they play the better a large emphasis is placed on s&e. Give the solos out early

How long do you work on your #UIL music? 6-8 seems to be the norm. More than that it exposes issues with program

Some great options for listening to music are the Stanton listening library, Pepper and Penders music websites. Check those out

What's your opinion on a non traditional march? Go for the march that best teaches your kids

Feature those stronger sections in the community because it will challenge them

What if my brass are at a much different level than other sections? Try finding music at an appropriate level for the weakest section

What about the warmup on stage? Make sure that it's solid if you're going to play it on stage

What is your opinion of the concert march is your warmup piece at #UIL? It's a misconception that it's a warmup. It's adjudicated.
