We are thrilled to share that ground has officially been broken on the Yellowhead Pipeline.
Representing the largest project in ATCO’s history, this milestone development marks a significant achievement for our company. Spanning 235 kilometers and scheduled for completion by late 2027, the pipeline will deliver 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas daily to unlock and support investment throughout the province. It reflects ATCO’s ongoing commitment to Alberta: delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy to heat homes and drive industrial growth.
While construction started in September, today’s groundbreaking ceremony provided an opportunity to honor the dedication, effort, and collaboration of all contractors, crews, and partners uniting to fuel Alberta’s future.
Our sincere thanks go out to every speaker, partner, and guest who helped make today’s event so vibrant and memorable. Learn more about the Yellowhead Pipeline project: atco.link/groundbreaking
