Well done! It’s says it all. We’ve had lots of coughs and colds but battlers battle through. If you haven’t made it, start your streak on Monday and make it count!

Attendance top 5 tutor groups. Our attendance has been fantastic so far this term, but this next week it can be even better. It is a crucial time for all, but especially year 10 and 11 for GCSEs. Can you be in the next 10 days? #10for10

Poor parenting is killing society. If my 16 year old throws a brick through a shop window for fun,it's not society's fault, or the fault of the police or schools,it's my fault for bringing up a feral youth.Start fining & imprisoning parents & most youth crime stops tomorrow.Easy.

It is true. Following a summer of constructive dialogue with the Secretary of State for Education, Lucy Powell, we have secured a fully funded pay award for this year. (youtube.com/watch?v=AErQ9EqV…) An additional £500 million in funding will be made available to schools. This is new money. The funding comes from a re-evaluation of the Local Government Pension Scheme. Rather than being clawed back by the Treasury, these funds will instead be allocated to schools. The Secretary of State has also committed to engaging with the union should there be an inflationary spike during the pay settlement period. She has further committed to working seriously with us to find solutions to the ongoing issues of accountability, workload and staff well-being. I would like to thank all our members for their continued commitment, not only to education but also to our union. Our National Executive will discuss these developments on 24 September.
