Thank you to Matthew Trone for an outstanding year of service as an @ASMEdotorg Federal Fellow in @RonWyden’s office! Throughout his fellowship, Matthew brought his scientific and technical expertise directly into the policymaking process, working across a range of health, science, and public policy issues. Among his accomplishments, Matthew helped develop and advance two pieces of legislation, S. 4997 and S. 5002, from early policy research and stakeholder engagement through legislative drafting, congressional outreach, and ultimately introduction in the U.S. Senate. We’re proud to have Matthew represent ASME and demonstrate the important role engineers and scientists can play in shaping public policy. Congratulations, Matthew, and thank you to Senator Wyden and his team for supporting the ASME Federal Fellows Program! 🎉
