1/ 🧵 So delighted to share our new paper, out today in Science Translational Medicine @ScienceTM. We built a CAR-T cell therapy that selectively depletes the disease-driving mutant calreticulin (mutCALR) cells in myelofibrosis — while sparing healthy blood stem cells👇 science.org/doi/10.1126/scit…

Very pleased to see this work coming out, bringing together one of the largest datasets of patients with relapsed B and T- ALL post transplant. Many thanks to @drclaireroddie for the excellent supervision on this and @Capt__Kirkwood for the analysis and input 1/ What happens to adults with ALL who relapse after an allogeneic transplant, now that CAR-T, blinatumomab, inotuzumab and TKIs exist? 133 patients. 9 UK centres. 12 years. New in @BrJHaem : onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

12/ Take-home: post-transplant ALL relapse is no longer uniformly fatal. But the gains sit almost entirely in B-ALL, in low-burden relapse, and in patients who actually reach CAR-T therapy T-ALL remains a genuine unmet need.
