During April our talented staff and students took part in our annual Biodiversity Photo Competition. Our winning entries were: 1st - Corinne Mouhot-James 2nd - Pauline Hooker 3rd - Glenn Hearnah View all of the entries for this year's competition by heading to ARUgreen!

Happy Earth Day!🌍 Did you know ARU has cut its carbon footprint by 43% since 2006? Our goal is to achieve zero carbon status by 2045. As well as that, 20% of our electricity is sourced from wind farms in Scotland and Wales! Find out more here: ow.ly/YMhA50RiR70

Our 2023 Travel Survey summary: 1. Over half of staff and students live more than 10 miles from campus. 2. 13% of all workdays involved driving alone as the main travel method. 3. 18% of car users would be willing to try car sharing using ARUgreen's Journey Share platform. 4. Active travellers were most positive about their travel experience. 5. 44% of staff and 20% of student workdays do not involve travel to our campuses, avoiding 820,000 journeys annually. 6. Our inital estimate of annual staff and student commuter emissions is 13,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
