Flying Piper PA18 before sunset is pure magic! This was a proficiency check for Senna Versluijs (19 years) his SEP(LAND) and despite the changing winds he flew the Piper nicely and on the ball. Passed! Proper start of the evening.

Fun fact: During the Alpha Uno exercise, Swiss F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets were authorized to land and refuel on a closed section of the highway. Since Swiss law requires a mandatory annual vignette to use the motorways, the pilots of Fliegerstaffel 17 playfully stuck official green highway vignettes onto the aircraft canopies.
Today I was privileged to lead a fourship of @vliegendmuseum aircraft from @BredaAirport to @texelairport Fly In 2026. Inbound we were able to cross @Schiphol CTR via the @LVNL ATC tower. Perfect day!
