There’s many types of Americans. Their culture is tightly tied to their families homeland. Blacks in America are the ONLY group that don’t have a significant tie to their homeland because of chattel slavery, and the fact that we were not traceable until 1790. If your folks never told you orally where you’re from you’d have to rely on the government who puts all Black people in a box and say “you’re from Africa” … with no specific country, tribe, language etc. Blacks in America created something out of nothing. We created our own culture here in America. To downplay that is purely evil and ignorant.
