Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, dream, and shape her future.
On International Day of the Girl Child, we remember Afghan girls denied education and pushed into labor and difficult circumstances. Despite these challenges, they continue to dream of a better future.
Mental health affects us all. In Afghanistan, years of uncertainty, hardship, and restrictions have taken a toll on people’s well-being, especially women and girls denied education and basic freedoms.
On #WorldMentalHealthDay, let’s remember that mental health is a human right.

در روز جهانی سلامت روان، باید صدایی باشیم برای زنان و دختران افغان؛ تا تجربیات، روایتها و نیازهای سلامت روان آنان شنیده و دیده شود

Marking the International Day of Non-Violence, this participant’s artwork shows how art can express a vision of peace. Through her painting, she imagines a world where Afghan girls can dream, create, and express themselves freely and without fear.
Art can speak when words are not enough. This painting reflects the pain, strength, and hope of Afghan women while reminding us of the power of peace and non-violence. On the International Day of Non-Violence, we celebrate the hope for a more peaceful future.

When voices are silenced, democracy loses its meaning. When people are excluded, a nation loses part of its future.
On this International Day of Democracy, we stand for meaningful participation, equal rights, and a future where every Afghan voice counts.

Five years into Taliban rule, Afghan girls are still not allowed to attend secondary school or university.
This situation cannot become normal. An entire generation is being denied education, opportunity, and the freedom to shape its future.
