Not often in the JS / REST world that I come across something that makes me double take ->
Working with Webhooks again and they're just so clunky: not every app is also a server! With HyperMap + Mech you can just have a SSE update your resource and consumers can listen for the change. Easier to implement and to use! Learn more: docs.allpurposemachines.com

There's a new version of Mech with a simplified interface and an updated VS Code extension which now generates better snippets: allpurposemachines.com

Replying to @htmx_org
@htmx_org is a big inspiration for HyperMap: it's the best example of exposing rich hypermedia controls for modern Web APIs. I hope to align the spec to theirs as much as possible, although designing machine consumption vs human will likely result in differences.

I just published a new version of Mech with JSDoc/TypeScript declarations: npmjs.com/package/@allpurpos… (Mech is a client for HyperMap APIs which are self-descriptive and can execute code on the client. The aim is to be better than traditional REST or GraphQL on a number of fronts)

I've been working on a new standard for building REST APIs called HyperMap. It supports one thing that no others do: code-on-demand. This means your API can run JavaScript or WASM on the client, turning static resources into dynamic, interactive objects. allpurposemachines.com
