Basic welfare benefits for Prasar Bharati employees remain incomplete. PB recruits after 2007 continue to seek CGHS healthcare, CGEGIS insurance, assured family pension and GPRA housing—benefits available to employees under other service arrangements. We demand restoration of these essential benefits for every Prasar Bharati employee and an end to the two-tier system. #PrasarBharati #PBEmployees #EqualRights #EqualBenefits #CGHS #Pension #CGEGIS #5octblackdayPBEmployees #Stop_Discrimination_with_PB_Employees @DrLMurugan @AshwiniVaishnaw @GauravDwivedi95 @pbpewa @APBEE2018 @BeingSunilmegh @ahbti @prasoonjoshi_ @HariGau68460792 @ojharici @ishukp @ojharici @kpl24888 @susheeljmd @SupercoolSujeet @MPrasad29870

3. #BlackDay 5 Oct 2025 – Justice for PB Employees Before the Prasar Bharati Amendment Act, 2011, all employees—whether recruited directly by Prasar Bharati/SSC or on deemed deputation—enjoyed equal benefits. Our salaries were paid securely from the Consolidated Fund of India (CFI) as a Grant-in-Aid through the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB). We had: CGHS medical coverage for quality healthcare CGEGIS group insurance for financial security GPRA housing under Central Pool accommodation Pension, gratuity, and all standard service benefits Common sense demands that with time, employee benefits, salaries, and social security should strengthen — not vanish. Yet, in a shocking reversal, everything we once took for granted was systematically revoked for employees recruited after 5 October 2007, in the name of “autonomous body” status. Post-2007 recruits lost CGHS & CGEGIS gradually after the 2012 Amendment, fully withdrawn by 2020. Pension rights and family pensions denied to deceased employees’ families. GPRA housing benefits removed, forcing employees to pay exorbitant market rents in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and other metros. Promotions blocked, leaving new recruits stagnating at Grade Pay ₹4200/₹2400 for nearly two decades. #RemovecutoffdateofPBEmployees #Stop_Discrimination_with_PB_Employees @GauravDwivedi95 @navneetsehgal3 @sjaju1 @prasarbharati @Murugan_MoS @AshwiniVaishnaw @WAVESummitIndia @LabourMinistry @PMOIndia @narendramodi @DrJitendraSingh @rashtrapatibhvn

Restore CGHS, Insurance, Pension & Housing for all PB employees. समान सेवा, समान सामाजिक सुरक्षा। We demand equal healthcare, insurance, pension security and housing rights for every Prasar Bharati employee. ⚫ 5 OCTOBER — BLACK DAY FOR PRASAR BHARATI EMPLOYEES 5 October 2007 created a divide that continues to affect Prasar Bharati employees even today. Employees recruited up to 05.10.2007 continued with the status/benefits available to Central Government employees on deemed deputation, while employees recruited after 05.10.2007 were treated as Prasar Bharati employees. The result? Same organisation. Same posts. Same duties. Same responsibility towards the nation. But different service conditions, protections and benefits. What makes this distinction even more serious is that the statutory amendment was brought into force later, in 2012, while 05.10.2007 was adopted as the dividing cut-off. Employees who had already joined Prasar Bharati after 05.10.2007 but before the 2012 amendment also came within the post-cut-off category. For post-05.10.2007 employees, this distinction has remained at the heart of several long-pending grievances relating to: ▪️ CGHS / medical facilities ▪️ Pension & social security ▪️ Group insurance / protection to families in case of death ▪️ Service benefits ▪️ Pay & promotional matters ▪️ Other welfare and employment protections For many employees, important protections associated with Central Government service were either not continued or were made unavailable after this classification. The question is simple: How can employees serving the same national public broadcaster, working on comparable posts and performing comparable duties, continue to face different service conditions merely because they joined on different sides of one cut-off date? This is not about one allowance. This is not about one facility. This is about the equality, dignity, medical security, social security and fair treatment of an entire generation of Prasar Bharati employees and their families. APBEE therefore urges the Government of India, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Prasar Bharati to: 🔹 Review the 05.10.2007 cut-off 🔹 Address the disparities created by it 🔹 Restore equitable medical and social-security protection 🔹 Provide meaningful group insurance/death-related protection 🔹 Ensure fair and equal treatment of employees performing comparable duties Today, 5 October, APBEE observes this day as a BLACK DAY and raises its collective voice against the continuing disparity arising from this cut-off. ✊ ONE ORGANISATION • ONE WORKFORCE ✊ SAME DUTIES • EQUAL RIGHTS ✊ EQUAL SECURITY • EQUAL DIGNITY @AshwiniVaishnaw @Murugan_MoS @MIB_India @GauravDwivedi95 @DrJitendraSingh #5OctoberBlackDay #PrasarBharatiEmployees #EqualRights #EqualTreatment #PrasarBharati #Akashvani #Doordarshan #APBEE

4 Prasar Bharati employees have passed away since Jan 2026. Behind every employee is a family. Yet PB employees still await comprehensive death-benefit/group-insurance & family-pension protection. Four colleagues. Four families. Four lives lost since January 2026. As President of the Association of Prasar Bharati Engineering Employees (APBEE), it is deeply painful for me to see that whenever we lose a colleague, along with the unbearable emotional loss, the family is left facing serious financial uncertainty. Today we mourn Late Shri Manish Gupta Ji, Senior Engineering Assistant, DD News, New Delhi, who passed away on 27 September 2026 after a prolonged illness. But this is not about one employee alone. Since January 2026, we have already lost four Prasar Bharati employees. Every such death leaves behind a family — a spouse, children, parents and dependents — whose lives can change overnight. Prasar Bharati has introduced an ex-gratia scheme for specified cases of death occurring in the performance of bona fide official duties. However, employees and their families still need a comprehensive social-security framework covering death benefit/group insurance and meaningful financial protection for dependents, including situations where an employee dies due to illness or other circumstances outside the limited scope of the existing scheme. For years, employees and their representatives have been raising the issue of Group Insurance and adequate social-security protection. This is not merely a service matter. It is about the security and dignity of the families who stand behind every employee serving Prasar Bharati. When an employee spends the best years of his or her life serving an organisation, the family should not be left wondering what financial protection remains if that employee does not return home. How many more bereaved families will it take before a comprehensive protection mechanism becomes a reality? On behalf of APBEE and the engineering fraternity, I respectfully urge the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Prasar Bharati Management to give this issue the urgency it deserves and establish comprehensive Group Insurance/Death Benefit and family financial-security measures for Prasar Bharati employees. This would not bring back any colleague we have lost. But it could ensure that, in the darkest hour of another employee’s family, financial insecurity is not added to their grief. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Late Shri Manish Gupta Ji and to the families of every colleague we have lost. May their departed souls rest in eternal peace. 🙏 — Atul Yadav President, APBEE Association of Prasar Bharati Engineering Employees @AshwiniVaishnaw @MIB_India @DDNewslive @PIB_India #PrasarBharati #APBEE #EmployeeWelfare #GroupInsurance #SocialSecurity
