People who aren’t in education, don’t realize what teachers go through every day… every week. I assure you… they have EARNED this weekend!

If you start treating your most challenging students as if they were your favorite students… over time, they might start acting like your favorites.

Three reminders as kids arrive: 1. People over product. Kids = people Math = product. 2. Focus on building a family. Look for leaders. U need them more than they need you. 3. Have fun. Make mistakes. Take risks. And... Don’t Be Boring! #Edchat #kidsdeserveit #thatonekid

Teachers, If you haven't already, you will soon receive your class roster. Know this about your roster: The kids in your class is no accident. You are in their life for a reason and a divine purpose. You are the difference! YOU! #edchat

We don’t define our success by our salary, our last promotion, or the zip code of our school. Our success is found in the difference we make for our students and for our colleagues. It is hard to measure, and it’s hard to quantify... but it is what gives our work true meaning.

Report cards that have you pick a generic comment should be outlawed. You've had my kid all year and I can't get a thoughtful note that shows you know them as a person?!?!
