NAME THAT FAVORITE TRACK! 44 Years Ago Today, Morris Day and The Time released their 2nd studio album What Time Is It? Like their debut album, all of the songs were written, produced and performed by Prince with only a few exceptions. Those exceptions being the lyrics for Wild and Loose written by Dez Dickerson, Morris Day providing vocals on all tracks and also playing drums on Wild and Loose, The Walk, and Gigolos Get Lonely Too. And while many have claimed that 777-9311 was a stock drum track by Tower of Power's David Garibaldi on the Linn-M1 drum machine, David denied that claim on an exclusive Funkatopia interview (funkatopia.com/interviews/in…). But what an amazing sophomore album. Straight fire. Wild And Loose (7:32) 777-9311 (7:57) Onedayi’mgonnabesomebody (2:27) The Walk (9:30) Gigolos Get Lonely Too (4:40) I Don’t Wanna Leave You (6:30)
