School Notice Due to issues with Raac and the Governments decision to close many schools in England, we will unfortunately have to delay the start of the school term. A letter has been sent to all parents on Parentmail with full information. Further updates will sent next week.

No-one makes the decision to go on strike lightly. Teachers are striking today because they, and our schools, are under-funded and under-valued. Failing to invest in education is future-discounting. It’s letting our children down. #TeacherStrike

Music isn’t extra. Music isn’t additional. Music isn’t discretionary. Music isn’t an add on. And, music isn’t disposable. Music Education is core. It’s fundamental. It’s necessary. It’s an irreplaceable component of a holistic and meaningful education. That’s what music is.

Fill a school with music and it becomes better. Fill an education with music and it becomes better. Fill a life with music and it becomes better. Fill a community with music and it becomes better. If you want to make something better, put music right at the heart of it.

Community music ensembles are more than just a music ensemble. They’re a place where the community comes together - they come together in rehearsals, in social functions, in concerts, in fundraisers, and in local events. Music helps the hearts of our communities to beat strong.
We welcomed Year 6 from @ChilwellCroft to see our concert today. What a lovely audience they were and so keen to sing and clap along. Well done to all.
