Exactly 1 year ago I watched #ALeagueOfTheirOwn for the 1st time! It helped me realize I’m queer & I started coming out. To celebrate, today I came out on Facebook & Instagram. I’m living more authentically, joyfully, & finally openly because of ALOTO! Representation matters! 🏳️🌈
Seeing the real women of the AAGPBL, including Maybelle Blair and Shirley Burkovich, in the Hall of Fame and playing on the field at the end of the movie version of #ALeagueOfTheirOwn gets me every time! 🥹
Still cried at the end though! This league and these players mean so much to me! 🥹
The #WPBL Championship game 5 is a lot less stressful on the rewatch than it was to watch live! 😅

This is an extremely niche tweet but I just realized: Dottie Hinson was the original Banana Ball player ⚾️🍑
I can’t stop thinking about how the #WPBL doesn’t just stand on the shoulders of the AAGPBL but also the women of the Negro Leagues! I love Commissioner Siegal was explicit about that! It’s not just the queer representation; the diversity of this league means so much to me! 💜
It feels so full circle to realize I was queer because of #ALeagueOfTheirOwn. To know women like Maybelle Blair couldn’t be open during the AAGPBL. And to watch the women of the #WPBL openly reference their wives and girlfriends all season. It means more than I can say. 🥹
I went into the season rooting for everyone (and I still do!) but the Queens stole my heart and this makes me so happy!! What an amazing inaugural season overall! #WPBL
Prime Video is the worst and I will die on that hill! No women-led show is safe with them! And don’t even get me started on the kind of BS Prime pulls if it’s women-led AND queer (I will literally never get over #ALeagueOfTheirOwn)!
I watched #ALeagueOfTheirOwn the show in 2022 and next thing you know my entire life is changed and now I’m obsessed with women’s baseball and getting emotional watching the lead up to the first game of the first ever #WPBL Championship! 😭😭😭
Hey @wpbl_official where Is the post about Leblanc’s walk off grand slam?? I would like to see the clip again please!
If you’re not watching the #WPBL what the hell are you even doing?!? Absolutely unreal game tonight! Absolutely love it!!
One of the best parts of #ALeagueOfTheirOwn has been the amazing people it brought into my life. So I can’t describe how special it was to spend the weekend with some of them in Rockford & Springfield & watching the #WPBL! So incredibly grateful! 💜🫶🏻🍑
Exactly 4 years ago I watched #ALeagueOfTheirOwn for the 1st time & it changed my whole life! It helped me realize I’m queer, find my confidence, my people, & my girlfriend!! I will be forever grateful for everything this show has given me! What an amazing 4 years! 💜🍑
There is a very specific pain being an #ALeagueOfTheirOwn (show) fan and seeing social media videos about the AAGPBL that end with something like “it even inspired the 1992 movie” which yes is also great but I’m always like AND?!?
That can’t just be me right??
Don’t get me wrong, I loved Ride or Die!! It’s a great show and it deserves the praise! But also absolutely WILD what can happen when you actually market your shows huh Amazon??
Will truly never get over the way they treated #ALeagueOfTheirOwn 🤨
This ride isn't over yet. Thank you for making #RideOrDie the #1 series worldwide on @PrimeVideo for the third week in a row.
Just gonna leave this here for #ALeagueOfTheirOwn fans: if this idea gets 10,000 votes Lego will consider it for the possibility of making it a real set! You just need to make a (free) account to vote! ideas.lego.com/product-ideas…
So mad I can’t be watching the #WPBL tonight! Never thought I’d be that person watching a live tracker of a baseball game on my phone in public but here we are! 😂
