A lot of people especially @nofuture and @UxGsol (me included) have been excited, wondering if NFTs are coming to @katana.
Especially with the memecoin wave + Kensei going live, it felt like maybe NFTs were next.
But @Crypto_Texan made it clear (exact words):
Katana is a DeFi-first chain.
NFTs are not the focus for the BD, engineering, or marketing team.
That doesn’t mean there won’t ever be a Katana NFT it could happen someday.
But if it does, it’ll probably be something light not a full NFT ecosystem or infra stack.
So yeah. TLDR:
DeFi is the mission. Yield, liquidity, and real infra.
Not JPEG meta at least not for now.
