For the #agchatoz audience. We’ve just started work on a $1.1M Landcare funded project led by @AKAgtech to turn soil science into digital tools for farmers. Over 3 years we’ll build innovative tools to help farmers better manage soil. To be involved visit soiltechproject.org/

I picked up a couple tweets about chaff lining and wondered what it was. Turns out to be a low cost, low tech way of dealing with weeds, good in dry years #chafflining. Check this out if you are curious like me bit.ly/2AizPwG

Once in a life time opportunity, got to take my 100 year old Grandma out for a combine ride. She still shakes her head at all the technology we have available for farming.

Agree Jess. Too much Agtech development without understanding how farming works

Why big data hasn’t made a big dent on farm - did anyone ask a farmer? Looking frwd to seeing the Future Farm project and the results and how it influences the adoption of soil sensors for in put mgmt. Site specific adoption got a long way to go compared to bolt on technologies!

Excellent presentation by @benpratt9 at SPAA, leading young PA cropping farmer, one to watch #PASymposium18 @SPAA_Inc
