I understand what he's trying to say. However, this makes it sound like most Israelis aren't also brown, and that is actually one of the problems that leads to people associating all of this with race. Also, Russia is held accountable only because the media tells people to do so.

Can we please say "non-Jewish Black" instead of just "Black", because the Black community includes Jews and this language is exclusionary.

🧵 I loved the Dave Chapelle monologue. It was funny and for the moment. In no way did it come off as antisemitic. If we call every single mention of Jewish people antisemitic, it invalidates, diminishes, and waters down what it actually means.
Yes, there are a lot of 'white' Jewish men in positions of power. But its their proximity to whiteness that garners them their power - not their Jewishness. Lets be real about this and communicate the nuance instead of "Jews arent white!" Or "Jews aren't successful!".
We need to talk more about Ethiopian (Black) Jews were killed in the Holocaust and in genocides that still are occurring today.

To say Jews are not white, to me, is just as false as saying Jews are not black. If you have someone who is a White Anglican from the UK & converts to Judaism - they are now a Jew, but they are also still White. This creates an idea that converts are not Jews. Jews are all races.
