A humanoid watched one video of a person playing cornhole, built its own simulator, practiced in it, then sank 7 shots in a row in real life. Google DeepMind's Gemini 4 Argon did it on Apptronik's Apollo: learn in its own mind first, then do it for real.

The stat that jumped out at me is failure detection. On NVIDIA's test of 4,861 robot time steps, Flora caught 53.3% of the moments a robot failed. GPT-6 Astra caught none, and no other model topped 11.7%. A robot can't fix mistakes nobody flagged.

Caveats: these are NVIDIA's own benchmarks, and the cost assumes $10 per GPU-hour. Astra still wins some robot captioning scores, and Flora wrongly flags ~11% of normal steps as failures. The weights are noncommercial too: research only, not for products.

My read: the robot race is turning into a data race, and NVIDIA just made robot data cheap for everyone. More cheap labels means more training, and that runs on $NVDA chips. Picks and shovels, now for robots. research.nvidia.com/labs/gea…

NVIDIA just open-sourced the data engine behind its GR00T robots. Flora watches robot video and labels what happened and how well it went, for $0.72 per video hour. GPT-6 Astra costs $88.49 for the same job. ~125x cheaper, and it already labels 200,000 hours a day.

Why this matters: robots don't learn from raw video. They learn from labeled video, meaning which step happened, when, and whether it worked. That labeling is the hidden tax on every humanoid company. NVIDIA just cut it to pennies on its own GB300s.

I kept waking up to dead Codex builds. They'd stop right after I went to sleep. The fix took 2 minutes and costs nothing: stop letting your Mac turn off its display or lock when it's idle. Keep it awake. Dim the screen yourself. 🧵

On a Mac that's plugged in: - Battery → Options: prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off - Lock Screen: screen saver set to Never - Turn display off on power adapter: Never - Require password after screen saver: Never Then just turn the brightness down.

Why it matters: an agent driving Unreal Engine needs a live desktop to click, run the game and check the results. A locked screen stops it. It won't fix usage limits or crashes, and only do this somewhere you trust. What's killing your overnight agent runs?

Pulled into Culver's on FSD today and my Tesla gave me two choices: Park or Drop Off. I didn't want either. I wanted the drive-thru. Tesla needs a Drive-Thru button. Here's exactly how it should work 🧵

What a Drive-Thru option should do: - Route into the right lane, not the lot - Queue and creep forward with the line - Stop at the speaker, then at each window - Hold until I tap go - Pair with the restaurant's app so I can order and pay by voice, hands-free

FSD already has Park, Drop Off, Driveway, Garage and Charger. Drive-Thru is the obvious next one, @Tesla_AI @elonmusk. Would you use it? And which drive-thru would you test first?

In my opinion, SpaceX’s Q3 earnings call was the best earnings call from any of Elon's companies to date. Not only was the video format fantastic, but the call itself was very substantive with a lot of great info and insight. SpaceX has one heck of an executive team.

$SPCX earnings call makes me want to own WAY MORE shares!

SpaceX is now an AI company that also launches rockets. Q3 revenue hit $14.6B, up 161%. Its AI unit made $7.56B, more than Starlink ($5.25B) and rockets ($1.77B) combined. Net income: $4.4B vs a $1.1B loss a year ago. Is $SPCX still a space stock?

What drove it: cloud deals renting compute to other labs, the $60B Cursor buy ($608M of revenue in its first 7 weeks) and Grok adoption. The cost: $16.4B of AI capex in one quarter. Chips, models and the apps people use, all under one roof. ir.spacex.com/files/content_…
