Yeah I think a lot of people on Twitter are conflating their competence with their ability to kiss ass in the corporate world. If I want to understand someone’s competence I read through what they engage with and generally a 5 minute inspection will give me an adequate answer.

I had my bubble popped this week that competence in corporate does not get you opportunities or promotions. It is literally a game of likability and that is why I don't think the bias in terms of race will ever disappear.
