Yesterday was a big day for arts and humanities Knowledge Exchange. The morning began with a deep dive into arts and humanities methods for delivering and understanding health and wellbeing outcomes at our roundtable that brought academics and practitioners together...
...and the afternoon gave us the launch of Elisa Larvego's exhibition 'the going towards' at @site_gallery, the fruit of a profound collaboration with Dr Sophie Watt of @ShefLanguages. The exhibition is a must see. On until 12 Nov
Dr Sophie Watt invites you to the Exhibition opening: The going towards. Tuesday 31 Oct, 5 - 7pm. Featuring audiovisual work produced in Calais, The going towards amplifies the voices of refugees, volunteers and activists. Exhibition runs from 31 Oct - 12 Nov. Compelling work
Already very interesting. Intersecting interests around the table sparking some thoughts not just about the characteristics of philosophy in prisons but also the potential applications for different settings #philosophy #prisons @Sheffphilosophy @Sheffphilosophy
Valuing diversity over homogeneity. Valuing resilience over preservation. Practicing the variety of forms that create cultural identity - poetry, music, dance, art, food... #Uyghur #Culture #Diaspora
"The diaspora is the best space to build cultural resilience." Fascinating conversation on cultural preservation, #Islam, and language maintenance. @ShefUniSEAS @AHKExchange @KabirQurban @AHakimIdris @AndersonEliseM @Rachel_A_Harris #Uyghurs #China #Xinjiang
Day 2 begins... Uyghur cultural preservation and cultural resistance. Questions include "What challenges do young Uyghurs face in seeking to innovate and create new cultural practices in their everyday lives?" @ReasonablyRagin
In Arts and Humanities KE we have work going on creating beautiful art and cultural experiences. We also have programmes that address massive issues of justice/injustice - here David Tobin and his work with Uyghur communities' experience of genocide and diaspora @ShefUniSEAS
At the @InnovNetworkSY event at @castindoncaster and the conversation is all about Knowledge Transfer Partnerships as a means to enable academic/business collaboration to achieve solutions for issues holding back innovation.
Genuinely a shift taking place about how we represent our city's culture. On a journey but people are definitely making things happen. Today there were people talking about a vision of a city multicultural museum. Wow, imagine that! @TereziaRostas
Alert! New display at @SheffMuseums Weston Park Museum co-curated with Sheffield's @MCDTSheffield Black Ladies' Group with the support of Roots and Futures project. A joy to share time with people who are shifting how the city represents its community stories

Phew, that's been a busy week but what a way to end with a very generous discussion from Claire at @brownejacobson about their Knowledge Transfer Partnership with @UniofNottingham. We learnt so much, thank you. Have a great weekend all! It's raining in Sheffield though :-(
