Because it's shaped like a Shiva Linga (there's several shapes). The bigger the more holy, from what I can tell. It's all performative theatrics for Indian normies. The real holy hallmarks are the nubs on their stone temples, they won't acknowledge it, but you can clearly see it

First youtuber to do an Elephant Graveyard style video of all the alt history people on the JRE will get 100,000 followers. Easy.

...And you... ...you ancient aliens people... Why the hell aren't I hearing any of you (looking at you @Tsoukalos) talk about nubs as signs of E.T. involvement, or that there is a legacy of expressing nubs on important masonry up to the modern day? (EVEN IF it's just copying)

Is the ancient lost technology in the room with us right now?

Don't worry, it can't affect you if it's ancient and lost. You're safe here in the present. You have agency. You have sovereignty. You have a destiny. ...As long as it stays ancient and lost. You must never consider the contrary. ...make you pay more attention ...make you mad

When you tell alt. history people that there is modern nubbed architecture, their knee-jerk reaction will be "they are probably just copying". Why does this happen? Because alt. his. people have been groomed to believe in deep antiquity and lost ancient technology/civilizations.

But no, we never hear about modern nubbed sites being described as exhibiting traditional lifting bosses for tribute or any other reason. If nubs are lifting bosses, wouldn't they just say "Yeah we're copying lifting bosses for aesthetics/tribute"??? Their silence says more...

And god forbid, god-for-fucking-bid, any alt. history person pause for a micro-second and consider that maybe there's sneaky shit going on today. I thought you people wanted to find out our true history, raid the Smithsonian, expose three letter agencies/the church. What happend?

Well, @outofspace2 is a glowie... What are the odds he tells me "you have to visit the site" and "Get out of your mothers basement" The exact same two phrases Corsetti used... I mean... Thanks for confirming it for me, you didn't have to be so obvious about it. 😄

Amen to that. It's trite. It's the same tired paradigms with no real answers or relevancy. They can't properly contextualize data and their data sets are incomplete. Barking up the wrong trees. Missing the forest for the trees. It's micro-celeb idolatry. Akin to comic-cons.
One of the things I don't get about some of the Alt history events is I don't really see any new info or analysis - they just repeat pieces of what experts have done and then throw in things they aren't experts in and try to link them together - or at least in the videos I have seen. If I went to a conference and the people presenting weren't experts (note I am said experts and not academics) that weren't providing new analysis on a topic, what is the point of listening to them? They just repeating others work that I can find myself and don't have enough knowledge about a subject to be worth my time. I don't go listen to the Mississippian archaeologist talk about the same pipes he has been talking about for the last 10 years because it's nothing new but at least they are an expert with decades of detailed knowledge. The only except is students. Students getting experience presenting is important and they should be supported because eventually they will be the ones presenting new cutting edge research.

And also a very effective way of gate-keeping the alternative camp.

What do you mean, "exactly"? You just said you think they are for tying up donkeys...

You realize youre talking to the person who has more examples saved than anyone else and who has the only research video on this topic, right?

Ziggydan grew up on Malta, Dan Stevens visited Egypt and Turkey. They never claimed they were for tying up donkeys. "You have to go there" is a weak excuse from the intellectually stunted.
