The only reason to have a multi-site church is to feed the lead pastorβs ego and desire for control.
If your church is big enough to have another site, birth it and let it go its own way.
Churches arenβt meant to be empires or corporate entities.
Amen.
A prayer and blessing for my ministry friends (pastors, educators, chaplains, missionaries, etc.) in honor of Pastoral Care Week.
May God bless you with wisdom and grace! May God be your light and strength as you walk with His children in dark and difficult places. May you dwell daily in the refreshment of God's love and grace, and may the Peace of God be felt by all who know your presence. Amen.

Megan Lambert is the teacher who died during the Silver Rail Elementary shooting. She was 25 years old. She loved volleyball and coached the Central Oregon Volleyball Club where she turned down pay so girls who couldn't normally afford to participate could play. π
Question for discussion:
Most Christians have only heard about the Penal Atonement Theory (Jesus as the perfect blood sacrifice to take God's wrath for sinners). Are you familiar with any other Atonement Theories? Which is your favorite, and why?
When you visit a man's page and find all that he does is speak against women, dust off your sandals and walk away.

When allegations of abuse arise, particularly about a leader, many believe truth will βhurtβ the church and so sin is excused, covered up, or given an innocuous name.Β Such actions protect the institution, not the name or true body of Christ.
