After unexpectedly losing her brother Grant to suicide, Devin was left wondering “Why do people take their lives?” Devin didn’t believe that people like Grant—a successful chef with many friends—took their lives. Being a mother pushed Devin to search for answers, allowing her to explore resilience, suicide prevention, and self-efficacy. See what Devin learned and read the rest of her story: afsp.org/story/building-resi…

What a day at Heartland Pride. Our table was full from start to finish! So many conversations, so many new faces. Some of you had never heard of AFSP before yesterday; others have walked with us for years. But the thing we heard again and again, from all of you, was "thank you for the work you do." Truly, thank YOU for stopping by, sharing your stories, and reminding us why we show up. Pride is about visibility and belonging, and being part of that yesterday meant a lot to our team. It's also why we're excited about Pride Pathways, @afspnational 's new program for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. If you want to keep the conversation going, learn more at the link in bio. See you next year, Heartland Pride. 🏳️‍🌈 #HeartlandPride #OutOfTheDarkness #AFSPNebraska #PridePathways
