A new one in MEC We are rather happy about it. Congrats @YannDorant and whole team #CNV outperform #SNP to reveal genotype–temperature association in a marine species onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… @Popgen_Papers @molecology @TheFSBI @AFSGenetics @eseb_org @sse_evolution

Hot of the presses, we use genetics to investigate strain-specific performance of #Muskellunge in #Wisconsin lakes and find that Wisconsin strains outperform the Leech Lake (Minnesota) strain. Wisconsin strain likely better adapted to local environments. rb.gy/pdyez3

Another synergistic team effort from our lab Great lead @AL_Ferchaud Adaptive/Maladaptive genetic diversity in small populations; insights from Brook Charr doi.org/10.1111/mec.15566 @Popgen_Papers @molecology @TheFSBI @AFSGenetics #RADseq #SNP #Deleterious #Maladaptation #TE #Fish
Fresh from the lab, @AL_Ferchaud et al doi.org/10.1111/mec.15566 Featuring 1,416 Lake Trouts from 50 lacustrine, riverine and anadromous populations! SNPs, TE, adaptative & maladaptive variation, but the negative effect might be mitigated by relaxed purifying selection in small pop

Check out our latest pub describing a GTseq panel for walleye out in MER. Nitty gritty details about panel design that will hopefully be useful for folks making their own panels. We highly recommend GTseq chemistry. Great workflow when optimized. rb.gy/rxtox1
