See these two men? They are Marcus Harvey and Tre Jones from Marion, Indiana. They should be all over the news but they’re not. A few days ago they saw a house fully engulfed in flames with people still inside so they kicked in the front door and risked their own lives to save the occupants inside. None of the occupants would still be alive if it wasn’t for them. Neither one gave a second thought about anybody’s color, they just did what was right. These are the heroes that the media won’t show you.

Thank you to the two @Cambridge_Uni medical students who saved my step-brother's life. He was running with girlfriend on Midsummer Common and his heart stopped for 14 minutes. They didn't give up on him, kept him alive til paramedics arrived. He is on the mend and should make a full recovery

Family caring can become 2 aging people trying to keep afloat. 1 needs care. The other is providing it. And both are getting older. That reality deserves a better plan than "family will handle it."

The question is, in ministerial terms which one of the motley crew should be commenting on this. The Minister of Transport, the Environment Secretary, others? IT follows from that question, why are they not speaking out. Surely Burnham should telling them to comment?
Britain has a cost of living crisis, illegal migration crisis, record tax burden, huge NHS waiting lists, decaying infrastructures and high streets. And meanwhile, Andy Burnham tells passengers on trains to use headphones when listening to music. FFS. Fiddling while Rome burns.

What do you think your body is made from --- chemicals.
Replying to @simonmaechling
Agriculture means dumping of poisonous chemicals and we are eating 💯% chemicals, which is highly risky for health 🤢. We don't want to eat chemicals. 😭

Good for the CEOof Delta!
Delta Air Lines has chosen not to go with Starlink, and Elon Musk is upset. Musk said that Delta’s CEO would “lose his job” for snubbing Starlink. Musk is both a bully and a baby. Bravo Delta.

Nie pozwólmy, żeby te protesty przeciw Trumpowi i jego technokratom zniknęły w czeluściach internetu. Bardzo na tym zależy Elonowi i temu od Meta ‼️ Podawajcie gdzie się da.

Since Europe is funding Ukraine and the US is not, Europe must take control of negotiations. Trump should not be dictating any terms when we pay the bill. Let’s end the circus

Ukraine has hacked its way into Russian documents and intelligence, revealing Vladimir Putin’s plan to make major Ukrainian cities uninhabitable by systematically wiping out their energy, water, and heating systems. These are crimes against humanity.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Much punchier accusations from Sir Malcolm Rifkind - a former defence and foreign secretary: "I choose my words very carefully. I think this week Donald Trump has shown himself as a person to be repulsive; as a President of the United States to be a disgrace to his own people as well as to his international responsibilities. "We all know his actual reasons for this are a grubby attempt to win a few more votes in the midterms by trying to get oil prices down. "In order to achieve that, he has not only betrayed Ukraine in the middle of a war, fighting for its very existence, but he is also directly - not indirectly - directly responsible for the deaths of many Ukrainians who will not now be protected by the attempts that have been successfully made using intelligence provided indirectly by the United States." xitter.cf/breeallegretti/status/…
