This isn’t the first time that locals in #Pakhtunkhwa are accusing the “notorious” police officer #DrMiaSaeed for carrying out extrajudicial killings in Peshawar & suburbs in the alleged fake police encounters. Now, protesters in Khyber accuse him of killing two locals on Monday.
The Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) records the highest score for terrorism in Pakistan (Pakhtunkhwa & Balochistan) in 2025. The IEP’s 2026 report says TTP (Taliban) and BLA (Baloch separatists) created “significant security risks”.
An antiterrorism court in Pakistan acquitted 7 more cops in the extrajudicial killing of young Pashtun man Naqeebullah Mehsud in Karachi in Jan 2018. Mehsud’s killing galvanized Pashtun rights activists under the umbrella of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
Two Pakistan army officers & four soldiers were killed in a fire exchange in the restive Pakhtunkhwa province Hangu district on Sunday, says Pakistan army. It claims 8 militants were killed in the encounter. Pics circulating on social media show army vehicle/s are set on fire.
Ittehadul Mujahideen, led by former pro-state militant Hafiz Gul Bahadur, claimed responsibility for Friday's attack in Kohat, Pakhtunkhwa, killing 21, including 15 police officers. Earlier, the Pakistan Army reported six soldiers died in an IED blast in Pakhtunkhwa on Sept 17.

Police in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa say 16 people, including 5 cops, were killed in a suicide attack on a police facility near a mosque in Kohat on Friday. The attack was followed by a fire exchange between police and militants.
Pakistani authorities produced a former female police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz at an anti-terrorism court in Quetta today. Reports suggest she was arrested on Sep 5, 2026 after holding a presser on the worsening law and order situation in Pakistan’s volatile Balochistan province.
Militants attacked a customs house and a police check post at Ziarat Cross Gharakai in the restive Balochistan province of Pakistan. Initial reports say 5 security personnel and 1 customs official were killed in the attack.
