"While the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences cited Hall’s work developing microeconomic foundations for macroeconomic stabilization policies as the basis for the award, a recurrent theme in his scholarship is individual responses to government policies. After World War II, many economists viewed the economy in simplistic, top-down terms. In accordance with the prevailing Keynesian orthodoxy, if the economy slipped into a recession, they believed the federal government should step in and stimulate it by printing and spending money. By the mid-1970s, this approach had clearly failed."

❌Clean Energy Mandates ❌Costly Medicaid Expansion ❌$15 Minimum Wage ❌Badly Written Marijuana Legalization Badly written laws with unintended consequences should not be locked in the constitution with virtually no way to fix them. Vote NO on Amendment 6.

It was a beautiful day at @shattomilk in Osborn, MO to learn about the challenges rural farmers and small business owners are facing. Thank you to Administrator @SBA_Kelly, @usda's @BenBakerMO and more for coming to rural Missouri and for listening and offering solutions. One of the of the issues raised was the need for a true free market to give farmers and small business owners the ability to sell directly to consumers. We will continue to work with entrepreneurs and builders in every part of the state to cut red tape and get government out of their way, so they can thrive and Missouri can grow.
Agriculture is vital to our national and economic security - and as America’s original small business owners, farmers are a national treasure. At Shatto Milk Company in Missouri, agrarian roots and an entrepreneurial spirit have been a proud family legacy for over 100 years. Alongside my colleague @SecRollins, the Trump Administration is committed to putting rural America first through access to capital, deregulation, fair trade, and rural hospital funding. There’s much more to come, and these roundtables help us hear directly from the heartland.

No special interest - left, right, labor, business or otherwise - should be able to pass unvetted, badly written initiatives at the ballot in one statewide election, and make that policy virtually untouchable for generations. Amendment 6 is bad for Missouri. Vote NO on November 3. #NOon6

Everyone agrees America needs permitting reform. Democrats agree. Republicans agree. Everyone knows it will create jobs and lower costs. Yet our Congress can't seem to get out of their own way.
is permitting already screwed?

Government guidance shouldn’t operate in the dark. @AFPhq joined a coalition urging Senate passage of the GOOD Act, which would make federal agency guidance easier for Americans and businesses to find and understand. The House has acted. It’s time for the Senate to get this done. ⌛️

We mourn with our @TexasAFP team and the family and friends of Raul. Our team and his countless friends knew his warmth, curiosity, and commitment to his faith and principles.
Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of our beloved friend and colleague Raul Espinoza who was involved in a car wreck yesterday. We have never known a more loving Dad, devoted husband, loyal friend, or ardent patriot. We will miss him terribly.

Legislators will have to decide whether they (the people’s representatives) lead on economic development—or utilities become the gatekeepers of how prosperous a state can become. In the last two weeks, I’ve heard one utility executive say, “We have an obligation to serve, but no obligation to serve today or tomorrow,” and another utility say it may not even consider serving a major economic development project for five years or more, which will result in the project being lost. The stakes are billions in investment, existing industry expansions, hundreds of millions in local tax revenue, and quality of life improvement for your citizens.

Fewer students shouldn't require more bureaucracy. When it comes to staffing growth in public schools, there is no urban-rural divide. Staffing has rapidly outpaced student enrollment in every part of the Show Me State. It's time to rethink where our education dollars are going and how taxpayer funds are being spent.
