The answer to all the questions posed is a big fat NO. No wonder replies are switched off.

(1/3) Don’t judge the Police Federation’s transformation by an org. chart, judge it by what members experience. Are members being put first? Do they understand the support available to them? Is the Federation better at fighting for them?

Policing Minister posts this, with no consideration for the custody staff and the impact on their lives. But nothing on the two on-duty @ClevelandPolice officers tragically killed overnight.

Very sad to hear that a man passed away in police custody in Croydon. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. The IOPC is now conducting an independent investigation into the circumstances of his death - I will be closely monitoring its outcome.

The @PFEW_HQ is not fit for purpose. Hopefully this is the end of the corrupt status-quo. For too long it’s been an inept gravy train squandering members subscriptions. Officer’s deserve better.

We have decided the @metpoliceuk officer who fatally shot Chris Kaba will not face a gross misconduct hearing. The decision follows the Government's recent law change to the use of force test in misconduct cases. Read more: ▶️tiny.cc/et08101

Police pay award: 3.5%. PRRB recommendation: 3.9%. National Secretary John Partington: "The Government has ignored its own expert pay review body. This is a pay rise on paper, not in officers' pockets. The average officer will be no better off in real terms."

Let’s see if the police get anything similar to the 3.8% come September.

🚨 The results from the pay ballot are in. Firefighters and control firefighters have voted to accept the 2026 pay offer. Wholetime, control and RDS firefighters should receive a 3.8% pay increase in their July pay packets.

The two brothers who assaulted police officers at Manchester Airport will not face a third trial. This country and the pathetic criminal justice system is broken beyond repair.

Well done to the @metpoliceuk for a swift release of the body worn video from today’s incident. Positive action like this has been needed for years. Top job by the officers apprehending the subject.

Watch as police officers confront a man suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in north London where two men were stabbed. The suspect refused to show his hands, was violent and continued to pose a clear threat. Using only their training, courage and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage.

I’m delighted that Alaa Abd El-Fattah has arrived in the UK and is with his family. Alaa’s case has been a top priority for our Government and I welcome President Sisi’s granting of this pardon. I pay tribute to Alaa’s family for their tireless determination to be reunited.

Yeah right. Where is our right to strike? Let us then.
Keir Starmer
@Keir_Starmer12 Dec 2025
I believe in workers’ right to strike. But the strikes next week planned by resident doctors should not happen, they place the NHS and patients who need it in grave danger. A fair deal is on the table. My message to doctors is simple: take it.
