I am a Soyinka fan, down to influencing my affiliation with hunters & vigilantes in my own community.
Comparing two different Greats is def unnecessarily & odd. Especially when it’s tribal, Chill out a bit.
Be proud but keep it simple, talking about yourself…
Thin-line
Thank you Grok
Lol! It’s funny saying that though
The attributed quote is not exact. Sylvia Leith-Ross’s 1939 book *African Women* does not contain those words.
A close passage (p. 357) says the Ibo view Europeans placidly as “the steps of a staircase,” learning only what brings immediate material gain, and that no one can say what happens once they no longer need the steps.
The popular version is a paraphrase of that idea.

“These people are not intimidated by us, and are rather amused by us. They watch us and learn quickly what we know. God help us the day they climb the ladder."
British anthropologist and writer Sylvia Leith-Ross, 1939.

Always thought original sin was Judaism core… Interesting.
So both original sin and concept of Evil in relation to God are different for the 3 Abrahamic theologies.
Never had this issue.
Worked greatly on speaking but always used my full Igbo name. Network, join organizations/social clubs, lead & it will sort itself.
Got into a ton of interesting places but I never actually applied for anything, people just offered open roles.
There are two stadiums that are free almost every weekend in Surulere and I am surprised the LGA guys haven’t utilized Gbaja and BATs influence to monetize there
If we had places like the National theatre, Eko hotel will never charge that amount they charge to host shows. I have a National theater that can park over 2000 cars or more, it can sit over 4000 people; an amphitheater setting; AC tight etc.. what am I doing at Eko Hotel? 🤷🏾♂️
trust me, if only the govt can fix these iconic places like the National museum, revive the APAPA amusement; National park etc; you have no idea the amount of value that will create. It will also break monopoly.
Amen… Amen.
instagram has brainwashed an entire generation into thinking expensive international trips are a life goal, even when they don’t even own a house.
the west convinced you to fly thousands of miles, blow your savings, take 200 pictures and call it “finding yourself.”
every country has mountains, beaches and pretty streets.
western tourism propaganda is working exactly as intended.

One day we go audit how much bootlicking we've done to get to no where
The last chain is the need for the seat of the presidency
Give it up and we will be free
The need to govern a complex place like Nigeria when you have a homogeneous region at your palm always baffles me 😭
