Governor Hobbs has made two outstanding appointments to the Arizona Court of Appeals: Sheena Chiang and Alex Samuels. Courts work best when judges understand the full range of those who come before them, and these appointments reflect that. #CourtsMatter azgovernor.gov/office-arizon…

Today’s shadow docket Supreme Court decision allowing DHS and Social Security to build a mega database is a bad ruling. But even the Court's MAGA supermajority was clear that it does not give Donald Trump the ability to conduct sweeping voter purges ahead of the 2026 election. Federal law prohibits systematic voter-roll purges within 90 days of an election.   Don’t let Trump’s kitchen-sink voter suppression campaign intimidate you. Check your registration, vote early if you can and make sure your vote is counted. Vigilance will get us all through.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to resume its expanded voter citizenship verification program, which lets states use Social Security records to check voters' citizenship. Justices Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson dissented.

Unbelievable. Another deeply disappointing, unlawful win for the Trump administration from SCOTUS’s conservative majority. Ahead of the midterms, the Court just greenlit sweeping voter citizenship checks that could disenfranchise eligible voters. nbcnews.com/politics/supreme…

The redistricting fight in Missouri is far from over. The 8th Circuit is again backing Missouri’s GOP-drawn congressional map, designed to help Republicans gain a House seat, even after SCOTUS twice blocked its use. slate.com/news-and-politics/…

Victory for North Carolina courts! Thank you, Governor Stein, for vetoing the dangerous HB 377. We cannot allow an overtly partisan and political Chief Justice to have unchecked power to suspend judges and solidify control over the system. ⚖️ #NCPol wral.com/news/nccapitol/stei…

SCOTUS could hand Trump a major win by blocking lawsuits against his ballroom altogether — a ruling that could threaten laws protecting environmental resources, sacred lands, and historic sites nationwide. vox.com/politics/499692/supr…

Todd Blanche's confirmation has been advanced because of a performative deal on the slush fund. His record already answers the question the full Senate now must decide: Does the attorney general answer to the president or the people? #BlockBlanche nbcnews.com/politics/justice…

Republicans are once again trying to make it harder to vote by reviving part of an Iowa law that would make it easier to reject absentee ballots. This voter suppression tactic could disenfranchise eligible voters. This is exactly why #StateCourtsMatter. democracydocket.com/news-ale…

"A consistent theme has emerged from the Roberts Court’s jurisprudence: a determination to ignore, rationalize, or misrepresent the explicit animus of government officials — and the president in particular — toward the groups that have been targeted." theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…
