Still insane that Declan Rice plays for Arsenal football club

This view that City made the league more competitive is… the opposite of the truth. It’s the most dominant spell ever seen in England:
- 100 and 98 points
- two trebles
- four in a row
None of these things had ever been done before
Man City’s revenues went up 25% during the Covid-19 pandemic when every club on the planet was bleeding money 😂

Mad how the Premier League's financial rules are so anti-competitive that West Ham, Crystal Palace, Spurs and Aston Villa have all won Euro trophies, Palace and Newcastle have won domestic cups, 8 clubs in UCL over 2 seasons + Sunderland/Bournemouth/Brighton all in Europe now.
"Commercial Suicide"...
Even though City have been and are robbing you of commercial revenue?
Excl: execs from 2 top clubs tell me they’d be “staggered if there were 15 clubs ready to expel #mcfc Premier League, calling it “commercial suicide”. Expulsion one possible punishment that independent commission could consider, but if clubs voted against such a decision - what, if any, punishment would City get?
You can keep your Bundesligas.
But the rest has a massive asterisk.
I want every single @ManCity fan to know I am here; more than ever. I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters.
Let me be clear: we will get through this together.
I love you all 🩵
Reading the comments it’s incredible that people think what Chelsea have done is not every bit as bad as what Man City have just been found guilty for. If not arguably worse.
Poetic that Manchester City paid £116m for Anderson (£1m more than £115m paid for Caicedo) presumably to massage the ego of Marinakis, but also to avoid the inevitable slew of banter about ‘115’.
Always trying to position themselves as clean, when in reality; rotten to the core
Most people don’t take issue with owners putting money into their football clubs. But it should be by investing in the local community, club infrastructure and the academy etc. to build the club and deliver long-term, sustainable success - which is what every other club has spent a century trying to do. Committing fraud to accelerate your club’s growth isn’t fair, and will also leave gaps. It’s why City/Chelsea cant fill out their stadiums/parades despite the trophies they’ve won. It takes generations to build a big and successful football club with a fanbase to match. That can’t be faked.
"guilty on virtually all charges"
That's my favourite saying.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City found guilty on virtually all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. #MCFC expected to appeal against verdict issued by independent commission. Sanctions undecided, process ongoing @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7049721…
Especially when the VAR audio shows that the official mistakenly thought Konsa wasn't watching the ball.
VAR should have at least said to him, "They are both holding eachother" and "Konsa is looking at the ball"
If at that point the ref is still adamant, then it's on him
The thing that makes this even more confusing, is my problem after the incident wasn't even with the referee. He got conned by Ballard and in real time it's easy to make a mistake, as he did - and as the KMI have unanimously noted.
That's when he needs VAR to bail him out and correct the decision. So to then say VAR shouldn't get involved is so baffling.
What is the point of it then? Surely an incident like this is the exact reason it's been introduced?
The officiating during the Sunderland game was a brazen attempt to give the home team a leg up Vs. the champions in a home game.
City get a ludicrous decision at OLD TRAFFORD... Of course, the head referee Michael Oliver has famously taken side-gigs to officiate in the UAE.
It's either conscious bias
Or
Subconscious bias, which has not been safeguarded against sufficiently
There are simply no guardrails. Look at the state of this?

Referee for Southampton vs Bristol City game today is Sam Allison.
Born close to Bristol & EFL website has an article saying he played for Bristol City!
If refs can't referee teams they support, why can they for ones they played for?
