Did you not know; Sturgeon’s memory and recall of facts often go missing.
Remember her performances at the Salmond and COVID enquiries…
In the hardback edition of Sturgeon's memoir, this anecdote about the day after the 2015 appeared. It was false: I didn't go down to London that day. In the paperback version it has been corrected. It was Jimmy Hood who was aboard that plane, not me. But why include such a nasty, spiteful story in the first place?
Firstly, I neither benefited from slavery nor was I alive when it existed.
Secondly, I already pay far too much tax to subsidise work-shy grifters here in the UK.
And thirdly, I see absolutely no reason why my taxes should subsidise grifters abroad as well.
Just back from the office of the Antiguan Prime Minister, Gaston Browne.
• insisted UK must continue to pay reparations for its role in the slavery despite Andy Burnham‘s change of approach on an apology.
• Browne lashed out at Kemi Badenoch after she said UK should stop apologising for the past: “no wonder she is the leader of the Opposition and not the Prime Minister.”
• Despite hosting King Charles and Commonwealth summit this week, Mr Browne said he wanted to replace the British Monarch as head of state and for Antigua to become a republic.
This exemplifies the problem with many modern politicians: other than being Party activists and then becoming MPs, MSPs, etc they have no experience outside politics.
Consequently, they have no idea of the real world, especially how SMEs operate.
This is a prime example.
The “employers are not workers” story has gone global! @timesofindia

You reposted your comment in a feeble effort to try and make yourself noticed and relevant by repeating the same performative nonsense.
Unfortunately, this demonstrates the low level calibre of many of our current politicians.
I struggle to understand why an alleged ‘playground scuffle’ btw 2 adults continues to receive so much coverage.
I couldn’t care less & wish more pressing matters were being addressed.
As the film from parliament shows @Nigel_Farage never pushed a woman MP. @theresa_may got it completely wrong when she said the Tories are seen as the 'nasty party'. That's the @LibDems
This will no doubt please the nationalists, but the hypocrisy is glaring.
Scotland happily benefits from tax revenues generated across the entire UK economy.
Yet when it comes to oil and gas, suddenly the rules must be different.
You can’t have it both ways.
Enough virtue signalling and apologising for our ancestors’ deeds.
Imagine if the time, effort and money spent on performative guilt were instead directed at tackling the modern slavery blighting millions of lives across the globe today.
This is playground stuff.
I despair at the state of UK politics & the low calibre of politicians who are meant to represent us.
As an adult, I would be embarrassed to go on media channels & complain about allegedly being pushed.
@CarolineVoaden grow up.
"He grabbed me by the arm, pushed me hard to one side, and barged past."
Nigel Farage "literally pushed me out of the way", was "just being rude" and many people witnessed it, says Liberal Democrat MP Caroline Voaden, who would accept an apology if given.
@RosieWright99
‘Remiss not to mention…’ 🙄
Perhaps the bus company fears for its financial viability under SNP control. Given the SNP’s fiscal track record, it’s hardly surprising!
Wasn’t Stagecoach an SNP donor?
Funny how donations aren’t an issue when it suits your argument.
Scotland's Deputy First Minister has pledged to work with bus companies to bring buses back under public control after McGill’s, the UK’s largest independent bus operator, accused First Minister John Swinney of behaving like a dictator
Jenny Gilruth also said it would be 'remiss' of her 'not to mention' that the McGill’s brothers were Labour donors
Strangely, @theSNP and its politicians use X relentlessly to peddle misinformation, spin their policies as triumphs and spew anti-Westminster bile.
It seems they don’t like scrutiny.
Based on that assumption then; not every SNP supporter will automatically vote for independence 🤷
And comments aren’t restricted🙄
Oh dear, some are just not very bright.
The funniest thing about this argument is the assumption that every Labour, Tory, Reform or Lib Dem voter would automatically vote No in a referendum. As if people’s party vote and their views on independence are the same thing. A referendum is about independence, not which party you vote for. Some folk really struggle with that concept.
Comments conveniently disabled 🤣🤣
You are leaving because the nonsense you post is challenged which you cannot deal with.
Cowards.
Replying to @scottishgreens
Shocker! A @theSNP Indy poll lands just in time for conference with the answer they needed.
Cue @JohnSwinney whipping up the gullible Nats with the same promises of a future that never arrives.
Different conference. Same empty promises.
Back in the real world & a true survey:
A majority of Scots would vote for independence in a second referendum, a new poll has found, as the SNP said Scotland’s constitutional future is becoming the 'dominant question' in UK politics
The Survation poll found 52% of Scots would vote Yes, compared with 48% who would back remaining in the UK when undecided voters were removed
The hypocrisy of @UKLabour & @AndyBurnham
Raising the alarm over alleged Brexit vote interference, while planning to rush through legislation removing the requirement for voter photo ID.
I wonder why the sudden urgency to scrap a protection for the integrity of our elections?
It’s disgusting that Andy Burnham, desperate to return to overturning Brexit, has reheated the Russia Hoax lie.
Several of us were accused of being somehow linked to Russia by a Guardian ‘journalist’ over our Brexit campaigns, she’s now known as a crank and a fraud.
Brexit won fair and square, the arguments today for rejoining the EU are even worse today than they were in 2016, that explains these desperate tactics.
Did his parents know he was out that late?
The product of an indoctrinated Marxist and failing education system in Scotland.
Another hollow @thesnp victory, again only made possible by a split Unionist vote.
Aberdeen was once an energy powerhouse. Now its oil & gas industry is in decline and the city is a shadow of its former self.
Yet the SNP survive because Unionists remain divided. Wake up!
Well done to the latest @theSNP councillor in Aberdeen - Jeff Diack - for Midstocket & Rosemount.
Good vibes heading into conference next week 😎 #snp #aberdeen #byelection
What did you expect?
Truth and accountability? They’re hardly hallmarks of @scotgov.
They backed Flynn.
They backed Matheson through iPadgate.
And they stood by Sturgeon amid the missing SNP funds scandal.
It’s what they do…
The Scottish Government has backed Stephen Flynn's account that he was not briefed about a major gas leak on the Glen Sannox ferry before appearing at a Holyrood committee.
It comes despite new emails showing officials raised the issue shortly before his committee appearance 👇
thenational.scot/news/266218…
Given ScotGov’s usual reluctance to release damaging FOIs, this has all the hallmarks of Swinney giving the green light to damage Flynn’s credibility.
A pre-emptive strike against the New Pretender me thinks 👊
