A little update on our lovely, nervous Mia up in Scotland! ❣️ Mia has been continuing to watch, learn and slowly build her confidence in her wonderful foster home. Her foster mum can now spend time working inside Mia’s gated area, and whilst Mia still prefers to stay slightly hidden away, she will happily eat her snacks without freezing in fear. A lovely little step forward! But it’s in the evenings that Mia is really starting to come out of her shell! When the house is dark and quiet, Mia has the freedom to explore, and goodness me, she’s been making the most of it! She’s been throwing her blankets around, having a little chew on the dining bench 😂🙈 (she now has her own chews!) and has even ventured all the way into the kitchen for a poop! Not quite the milestone most people celebrate, but for Mia, we’ll take it! 😂 Her foster mum has now started leaving little treats in different areas of the house each evening, encouraging Mia to explore and discover new spaces at her own pace. Her two foster siblings also have free roam of the house overnight and have been incredibly respectful, allowing Mia to get on with her little adventures without interfering, even though they can hear her pottering around. We are SO excited to see this newfound nighttime confidence and hope that, little by little, it will start to blossom into her days too. For Mia, progress is measured in the tiniest of steps. But every little adventure, every moment of curiosity and every bit of confidence is something worth celebrating. There is absolutely no rush. Mia has all the time, patience and love in the world to figure things out with her wonderful foster family! #fosterdog #update #nervousmia #afa

Someone is settling in rather well! 🥹❤️ It seems Daisy has moved on from her love affair with the treadmill and discovered that snuggling up with her brother and enjoying the comforts of the sofa is rather lovely too! We just had to share this little glimpse of Daisy’s progress. Everything is happening slowly, gently and entirely at her own pace, but we were absolutely thrilled to see her looking so relaxed, snoozing away without a care in the world this week. She’s spent the last few weeks in her foster home simply watching, observing and learning that she’s safe. And all that patience is paying off tenfold. These might seem like small moments, but for a girl like Daisy, they’re enormous. ❤️ Just imagine how far she’ll have come in another few weeks. ✨ #daisy #goldengirl #fosterdog #bravegirl

BEEP BEEP… MIA IS ON HER WAY TO SCOTLAND! 🥹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🐾 Our precious little Mia was collected this morning by a professional transporter we’ve trusted with some of our dogs’ longer journeys before… although perhaps none quite as precious a passenger as our most nervous Golden Girl! After such a long journey to get to this point, Mia is FINALLY on her way to her foster home! 🙏 There will be no expectations when she arrives. She’ll decompress. She’ll learn. She’ll build confidence. And most importantly, she’ll be allowed to do it all at her own pace❤️ We couldn’t be more thankful to her wonderful foster home for giving this very special girl exactly what she needs. And of course… she’s travelling in style (and safely!) in her brand-new three-strap harness too! 🐶💪 We’re still fundraising to help cover the costs of getting Mia to this next chapter: 🚐 Professional private transport — £780 🐾 Secure three-strap harness — £85 ❤️ Raised on GoFundMe so far — £100 We are SO thankful to everyone who has already donated. 🙏 If you’re able to donate or even just share Mia’s fundraiser, it would mean the world to us and help us reach more people. Scotland, your little Golden Girl is on her way! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️ 🔗 Fundraising link in bio #fundraising #fosterdog #newchapter #specialgirl

LITTLE MISS MIA: FOSTER UPDATE ✨ Our little Miss Mia is absolutely blossoming in her foster home ❣️ She’s loving getting out on her walks, taking in all the sniffs and making friends everywhere she goes. Treats when out and about? She’s not too bothered 😂 There are far more important things to investigate… and people to meet! Mia absolutely adores people and is always very happy to make a new friend 🥰 At around 8 years old and being small in size (and character!), Mia is such a sweet, affectionate girl. She’s settled beautifully into home life and has really shown us just how much she loves having people around her. She’s also doing brilliantly with her foster sister, from those first few days of settling in, they now greet each other like long-lost friends in the morning, play together and will even happily share a bed 🐶 she's also shown that she's great with visiting dogs in the home too! Mia enjoys her walks (and still has a keen eye for the birds 😂), but she’s equally happy enjoying the comforts of home and some sofa snuggles afterwards! She could live with a calm resident dog with sensible introductions, or we feel she could be equally happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. We’re looking for a quieter, rural or semi-rural home with a secure garden where she can continue to flourish 🌿 Mia is still looking for her forever home, and you'll have our support and full rescue back up all the way 🏠 Could it be with you? Please get in touch 🙏🐾 #adoptionready #rescuedog

IT’S OFFICIAL! 🎉❣️ Our beautiful Barney has been adopted by his foster family and will spend the rest of his days exactly where he belongs, holding hands with Nicola and Lily-May (his absolute favourite pastime! 🤝) The money remaining from Barney’s surgery investigations and treatments will now be put towards his ongoing medication and care, helping to ensure he stays as comfortable and well-managed as possible for the years ahead. ❤️ A huge thank you to our incredible community who pulled together to make all of this possible for him. Every donation, share and bit of support has played a part in Barney’s journey. Because of all of you, Barney gets his forever happy ending. Just like we wish for all our dogs he is adored, cared for and finally, officially, home. 🏡🐾❣️ Happy adoption, Barney! 🎉 #adoption #golden #happyweekend

DUKE IS HERE! 🇬🇧🐾❤️ Our gentle giant safely arrived on Sunday, and on his very first day he was lucky enough to meet Ann, Julie, and Corinna & Tom (a wonderful pair of AFA adopters happened to be visiting the kennels too) ❣️ One thing is already very clear… this boy is adored by everyone he meets. 🥹 Duke isn’t the young, energetic boy we first took into rescue five years ago anymore. He’s older now, calmer and a little slower! He’s been doing really well since arriving, enjoying plenty of time outside, mixing in the paddocks and taking everything in his stride. 🌾🐾 We’ve updated our Amazon Wishlist this morning with two things we’d really love to get for Duke as he settles in joint supplements and a large orthopaedic bed. His elbows show that he’s spent far too much time lying on harder surfaces over the years, so we’d love to give this big boy somewhere beautifully soft and supportive to rest those older bones 🛏️ If anyone would like to send Duke a little welcome-to-the-UK gift from our Wishlist, we would be incredibly grateful as they could get delivered this weekend and driven to the kennels this coming Monday to him 😍 After everything this boy has been through and all those years in rescue, it feels very special to finally be able to say… Welcome to the UK, Duke. 🇬🇧🐾 Your next chapter starts here. ❤️

LAYLA IS READY TO BE SOMEONE’S GIRL 💛 If there’s one thing our gorgeous Layla LOVES, it’s people! Just look at her soaking up all that attention on her first meet with Julie ❣️🥹 Layla was born in Turkey in April 2025 to a Golden Retriever dad and golden mixed-breed mum. She travelled to the UK with her sisters at the end of May and has been patiently waiting in kennels in Gloucestershire ever since. She’s around 20kg, with little legs, a fluffy deep-golden coat and the BEST goofy personality. Of the four sisters, Layla has always been our most confident, she loves fuss, people, paddock zoomies and being right in the middle of everything 💛 Despite this, Layla has never lived in a home before, so she’ll need a family who can give her time to decompress and gently introduce her to all the everyday things that come with home life. 🏡 Her perfect home: ✨ Rural or semi-rural with quieter walks ✨ Secure garden ✨ Adult-only or children 16+ ✨ Someone happy to continue her lead training and use a long line while recall develops ✨ She could be an only dog OR potentially live with a calm, older, non-dominant resident dog Layla is affectionate, fun-loving and SO ready to swap kennel life for a sofa, adventures and people of her very own. Surely her family is out there somewhere? 🥹💛 📍 Gloucestershire 🎂 Born April 2025 ⚖️ Approx. 20kg 🇬🇧 Already in the UK 🐾 Full rescue back-up provided #rescuedog #adoptionready #adopt

LITTLE MIA, FOSTER UPDATE 🖤 Our gorgeous little Mia has settled into foster life beautifully, and we’re learning more and more about what a lovely little companion she is 🥹 One of the sweetest developments has been her relationship with her foster sister. Mia needed a little time to settle and find her feet, but now she greets her like a long-lost friend every morning ❣️They love to play together, and Mia will even happily snuggle up and share a bed with her! This has really shown us that Mia could very happily share her forever home with another dog. She may just need a couple of weeks to settle, build trust and understand her new routine before that friendship really blossoms 🐶🐶 With people, Mia is an absolute DREAM. She adores human company, loves affection and has been incredibly comfortable with visitors. From everything we’ve seen in foster, we really do believe this little girl has lived in a home before. She’s good at being left for periods, enjoys her walks and, of course, her favourite hobby remains firmly in place… chasing and watching the birds 😂🐦🌳 A little reminder about Mia: 🖤 Around 8 years old 🖤 Small — around spaniel size 🖤 Presumed Kokoni-type mix 🖤 Blind in one eye, but she certainly doesn’t let that stop her! 🖤 Absolutely LOVES people 🖤 Friendly and relaxed with visitors 🖤 Good at being left 🖤 Enjoys her walks, around two 25–30 minute walks a day would suit her well 🖤 Good on lead 🖤 No established recall, so we recommend using a long line 🖤 Could live with another dog following sensible introductions and time to settle 🖤 Would also be very happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog 🖤 Looking for a quieter rural or semi-rural home 🖤 A good-sized, secure garden would be ideal 🖤 Currently in foster in Gloucestershire Foster has given Mia exactly what she needed, time to decompress, settle and show us who she really is. And underneath it all is the most loving, funny, people-adoring little girl who is SO ready to find her forever family! Could Mia be the missing little piece in your home? 🏡🐾 Please get in touch to apply for our beautiful girl. 🖤 #rescuedog #adoptionready

PARLA IS READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME 💛 And just like that, we’re introducing the last of our four golden girls… beautiful Parla 🥹 Parla was born in April 2025 and is a gorgeous golden retriever mix/mixed breed. She arrived in the UK from Turkey at the end of May with her three sisters and, just like the other girls, she has never known life in a home. All she has ever known is kennel life. Parla is the fluffier of the girls, with the sweetest little crimped ears that make her ridiculously cute 😍 She is good with people and other dogs, although she’s a little more reserved initially. She likes to take a moment to work you out and make sure everything is safe before she fully relaxes. But once she does? You start to see that lovely, playful girl underneath! She enjoys a fuss, loves getting out to play and, once she knows she’s safe with you, she really is just a lovely, sweet-natured girl. 🏡 We’re looking for: • A rural or semi-rural home • Adults or children aged 16+ • Kind, patient humans who understand she has lots to learn about home life • She could live with another suitable, calm and confident dog who could help show her the ropes • Plenty of time to decompress and discover the world at her own pace Parla is currently in kennels in Gloucestershire and is ready for foster or adoption 🇬🇧 She has spent her whole life waiting for her chance to be someone’s dog. We would absolutely love for Parla to finally know what it feels like to have a home of her own 💛 Full rescue back-up and support from a UK registered charity. 📩 Please get in touch if you think you could be Parla’s person or share her to help us find them. #rescuedog #adoption #foster #pleaseshare

A BIG thank you to the wonderful Caroline @bodhibo2023 for holding another local car boot sale, with an amazing £285 raised for AFA🥹❣️ With donations and grants at an all-time low, we really cannot put into words how special it is when our adopters go out of their way to support us like this. Every single pound helps us continue to care for the dogs who need us, and it means so much!🐾 Caroline spent the day chatting to people about AFA, sharing what we do and handing out our details and even had a few people interested in fostering! 🤞 Wouldn’t it be amazing if some new foster homes came from the day too?! ❣️ Foster homes are absolutely invaluable to us and allow dogs to leave kennels, decompress and experience home life while we find their forever families. Thank you so much, and thank you to everyone who donated, stopped to chat or took our details. We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful supporters❤️ #fundraising #bestadopters #thankyou

Who needs a cheeky little tree climber in their life?! 🐶🌳 Little Miss Mia is growing in confidence every single day in her foster home, and these pictures were just far too cute not to share! 🥹 We did say she loves the birds… apparently bird watching from the ground just wasn’t enough 🐦 This is exactly why foster homes are SO beneficial ❣️ They give dogs the space to decompress, find their feet and start exploring the world at their own pace, in a safe and loving environment. Remember our Golden Girls are still desperately looking for foster homes too! As for our little tree-climbing Mia, she is still looking for her forever home 🏡❤️ 🐾 Around 8 years old 🐾 Small in size 🐾 Presumed Kokoni-type breed 🐾 AMAZING with people she is incredibly relaxed, friendly and comfortable with everyone she meets 🐾 Her foster mum believes she has likely lived in a home before 🐾 Very good at being left for periods of time 🐾 Enjoys her walks (and apparently a little climbing 😂) 🐾 Looking for a rural or semi-rural home 🐾 Could live with another dog following sensible introductions 🐾 Blind in one eye, but she certainly doesn’t let that stop her! 🐾 Just a genuinely very good girl all round 🥹 Mia has so much love and personality packed into her little body. She’s settled beautifully into foster life and now we’d love to find the people she can call her own forever! Could our cheeky little bird watcher be the girl for you? 🐶🌳🐦 Please get in touch if you’d like to know more about adopting Mia 💌 #rescuedog #adopt #foreverhomeneeded

FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR DAISY 🌼 Just look at that beautiful colouring and sweet little face 😍 Daisy really is such a gorgeous girl! Daisy was born in April 2025 and arrived in the UK at the end of May. She is currently living in kennels in Gloucestershire, but we would absolutely love to find her a foster home where she can finally experience some peace and home comforts. 🥹 Daisy can take a little time to warm up to new people, but give her some patience and she soon shows you just how affectionate she really is. Within an hour of meeting her, if you stop stroking her, she’s there pawing at you asking for more! 🥹 She really does love a fuss once she knows you’re safe. She’s still a little worried by new experiences and unfamiliar/environmental sounds, which is exactly why we feel getting her away from kennels would be so beneficial. We’d love to give Daisy the opportunity to decompress, relax, learn about the world at her own pace and finally find her feet. 🏡 Her ideal foster home: • Calm, quieter home • Rural/semi-rural environment preferred • Patient humans who won’t expect too much too soon • A secure garden would be wonderful • Adult home / children 16+ • A calm, confident resident dog could be a lovely influence • Understanding that Daisy has never really known normal home life and will need time to adjust Fostering gives dogs like Daisy such an important stepping stone between kennel life and their forever home. All we need from you is the safe space, patience and love, we’ll be there to support you. Could you make space for a foster? And could Daisy be the girl for you? 🌼 We would really, really love to find this sweet girl a placement away from kennels. Please get in touch if you think you could help her 💛 📍 Currently in Gloucestershire 🐾 Full rescue back-up & support 🇬🇧 UK registered charity 🏡 Foster or foster-to-adopt enquiries welcomed #FosterADog #FosterNeeded #RescueDogUK #AdoptDontShop #AngelsForAnimals

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR MIA 🐶 (yes we currently have two Mia's in our care!) 🧡 This Mia is one of our four Golden mix pups, and she is by far the most sensitive of the litter 🥲 The kennel environment simply isn’t the right place for her. Mia is a very nervous little girl who finds anything new overwhelming. Unfamiliar environments, everyday sounds and sudden movements can all frighten her, and right now we feel what she needs more than anything is peace. A quiet place where she can finally rest, decompress and begin to feel safe. Mia is the kind of girl who will watch you from a distance, trying to work you out. You might be sitting quietly on your knees and, the moment you stand up, she’ll move away again. There’s no aggression, she is simply scared and unsure of the world around her. She doesn’t need someone to do anything with her right now. She needs someone who understands that sometimes the kindest thing you can give a nervous dog is time, space and absolutely no expectations 🙏 She will take treats thrown onto the floor, and we actually recommend throwing them behind her initially, allowing her to move away to get them gives her choice and agency rather than asking her to come closer before she’s ready. We are looking for a calm, low-traffic foster home where Mia can have a safe space of her own and simply learn how to be. Perhaps you have a calm, confident resident dog who is wonderful with more sensitive souls and could quietly show Mia that the world isn’t quite so scary so she can learn through another dog 🐶 Do you have a peaceful corner of your home for Mia? Do you understand what it means to expect nothing from a frightened dog, no cuddles, no walks, no pressure and simply allow them to exist until they’re ready for more? If you do, we would absolutely love to hear from you 🤍 Mia deserves the chance to finally exhale. 🏡 Foster home needed 🐾 Full rescue back-up & support 🤍 Patient, understanding foster essential 🐕 Calm, confident resident dog would be beneficial Please message us if you think you could be Mia’s safe place. 🧡 *Videos also posted on our Instagram ❣️🐶 #fosterneeded #foster #goldenmix #helpneeded

MIA UPDATE ✨ Beautiful Mia has now been in foster for a week and her personality is really starting to shine through 🥹 One thing we know for sure… Mia LOVES people! She adores meeting people, being around them and getting all the attention she can. We really feel she could thrive as an only dog, where she can finally have all that love to herself 🥰 And don’t let her age fool you, this girl LOVES a zoomie! 😂💨 She has great activity levels, loves racing around the garden and chasing the birds, so a good-sized secure garden would be perfect. 🐾 Walks nicely on lead and would enjoy a couple of walks a day 🐾 No recall training, so she’ll need a long line for the foreseeable 🐾 Loves human company and would like people around with her 🐾 We think she could possibly be a Kokoni/Kokoni mix, but with no history we can’t be sure! We feel Mia would be happiest in an adult-only home. She has limited vision in one eye and we think a quieter home would suit her best. She’s also finding sharing some indoor spaces and doorways with her foster sister difficult. This may improve as she settles, but equally, she may simply be telling us she’d prefer to be the only dog and we want to listen to what she needs! We've just shared some videos of her to our Instagram and please go and watch 🤩we will put some in the comments here too as you can only upload one. Useo at a time with a Facebook post 📹 We don’t want Mia’s adoption fee to be a barrier to finding her the right home. If you think you could be her person, please complete an application 🙏 📍 Fostered in Gloucestershire ❤️ Full rescue back-up & support #AdoptMia #RescueDogUK #AdoptDontShop #RescueDogs #ForeverHomeWanted

The golden girlies had a visitor today… and just LOOK at how beautiful these photos are 😍💛 We had to share them, we’ve got some gorgeous videos to share with you too! Our beautiful golden girls have now been in the UK since May and are still looking for their chance at either an adoptive or foster home 🏡 The girls were born in April 2025 to a Golden Retriever dad and a Golden Retriever cross mum. Both mum and dad have now been in the UK for over seven months and have settled into home life incredibly well. 💛 The girls, however, have never really had the opportunity to experience life in a proper home. They’ve spent most of their young lives in a kennel environment, and we would absolutely love to change that. ✨ All four girls are fairly small in size ✨ Two are more confident, while two are more nervous ✨ One girl in particular is very submissive and we feel she would benefit enormously from the chance to decompress and learn about home life in a patient foster home ✨ They would suit quieter homes and lovely rural walks ✨ They’ll need patience and support while getting used to everyday things such as walking on a lead and experiencing normal home life They are all such beautiful, gentle girls and they really do deserve the opportunity to show us who they can become once they feel safe and settled ☀️ Even if you can’t commit to adoption, could you offer one of our girls a foster home? Getting them out of kennels and into a home environment would give us the chance to learn so much more about them and help prepare them for their forever families. 📍 Currently based in Ablington, near Cirencester 🏡 Foster or adoptive homes needed 🤝 Full rescue back-up and ongoing support provided If you think you could give one of our golden girlies the chance she’s been waiting for, please get in touch with us. 💛 And please share, their homes could be just one share away! Thank you to @edils71 for visiting our girlies today ❣️🥹 #adopt #rescuedogs #homesneeded

Barney Update 🐾 Recently, Barney visited one of the UK’s most respected canine orthopaedic specialists. Following extensive discussions with multiple experts, the unanimous view is that surgery cannot guarantee an improvement in Barney’s quality of life. Due to the condition of his remaining bones, reconstructive surgery carries significant risks, including further complications, additional operations, and a very long recovery. Barney also has coronoid disease in both elbows, meaning any recovery would place extra strain on joints that are already compromised. One specialist encouraged us to view Barney not as a dog waiting to be fixed, but as a disabled dog who has always lived with these deformities. Our responsibility is to give him the happiest, most comfortable, and dignified life possible. After careful consideration, our volunteer team has made the difficult decision not to pursue surgery. While we know some supporters may be disappointed, we believe this is the kindest choice for Barney. For anyone who donated specifically towards surgery, we are offering refunds upon request. Please contact us if you would like your donation returned so we can discuss. We also want to be transparent that, from the £10,000 raised for Barney, thousands of pounds have already been spent on his care, diagnostics and specialist consultations, with one assessment alone costing close to £2,000. Any remaining funds donated for Barney will be used solely for his ongoing care, including medication, pain management, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, veterinary reviews and lifelong support. Most importantly, Barney can now begin his journey towards finding a forever home. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we will continue helping with his care costs so his future family can focus on giving him the love he deserves. Thank you for standing by Barney. His path may look different to what we first imagined, but we remain committed to giving him a life filled with comfort, dignity, happiness and love. ❤️

We really need to be honest right now… things are not where they need to be 💔 Barney is struggling every single day. Standing is hard. Walking is harder. And watching him live like this when we know there is an option to help him is heartbreaking for his foster mum 🥹 We are now speaking with specialists and the reality is this: He needs two hip replacements at around £10,000 per hip. Our target is now sadly higher at £20,000. We currently have under £4,000 raised. All grants and donations have completely stalled. Because of this, we’re now being forced to have conversations about more cost-effective options… ones that won’t give Barney the same level of pain relief or quality of life. That’s not what we want for him. He deserves better than “just managing” and honestly we don’t know if they are an option financially and PTS discussions have started to creep in 😢 At the same time, our charity funds are now so low that we’ve had to cancel dogs coming over this month. This isn’t just about Barney anymore, it’s impacting the other dogs who need us too. We are at a really critical point. If you’ve ever thought about donating, sharing, or helping — now is the time. Every single donation, no matter how small, genuinely matters right now. And if you can’t donate, sharing Barney’s story could make all the difference. We don’t want to give up on him. 🤍 But we can’t do this without you. gofundme.com/f/barney-the-go… #rescue #dogrescue #fundraiser #helpbarney #rescuedog

Barney needed to be retested for brucellosis here in the UK with his local vets, which has slightly delayed the start of his medical planning. Every practice has its own protocols when it comes to brucellosis, but we had no concerns, he’s already tested negative three times while in our care, so ofc he got another negative result ❣️ The good news is we’re now in active discussions with specialists about the best next steps for Barney, focusing on long-term pain relief and giving him the quality of life he truly deserves. One of the specialists is currently away, so we’re hoping to have a clearer update by the end of the month from multiple clinics 🐶🏨 In the meantime, please keep sharing Barney’s story and supporting his fundraiser 🙏 With two hips needing treatment, the costs are significant, replacements start from around £7,500 per hip, though we are also exploring other possible options. So far, we’ve raised £3,830 for Barney, which we are incredibly grateful for 🤍 But as we’ve shared recently, it’s been a really tough start to the year for the charity 🥹 donations are down and grant applications haven’t been successful. We really need to come together for the dogs still relying on us 🤩 Every share, every donation, and every bit of support makes a difference. Thank you for being part of Barney’s journey 🐾 link in bio to donate 🙏 #dogrescue #hipreplacement #rescuedog #goldenretriever

We need to be honest… we are struggling 🐾💔 This is not something we ever want to say publicly, but the reality is our charity is under real financial pressure right now. We are doing everything we can to keep going, but it’s starting to feel impossible. We still have dogs who rely on us every day for safety, food, and medical care 🤍 Right now, we urgently need help with: 🐶 Three dogs who must remain in Turkey They are safe, but not suitable for rehoming. We are looking for sponsors at £100 per month, per dog, to ensure they continue to receive the care they need. 🐶 Thea Her pain is increasing, and while we cannot afford a full hip replacement, she urgently needs a hip removal surgery to give her comfort and quality of life. We need to raise £500. 🐶 Barney 💔 We are trying to fundraise for his double hip replacement, but progress has been slow. We are currently only 38% of the way there, and he is still waiting far too long. We are trying our absolute best. But right now, we are struggling to keep up. If every single person reading this gave just £1, it would genuinely help keep us afloat. If you can donate, sponsor one of our dogs, or even just share this post, you are making a real difference. Link in bio/ on website to donate ❣️ Please help us continue helping them 🤍 #dogrescue #fundraising #ukcharity

Mia is still waiting… could you be her happy ending? 🐾 Mia’s story began in a place no dog should ever have to be, a government holding and feeding pen where she was struggling, injured, and simply not coping. When she was rescued last year, she had a suspected leg injury and needed six weeks of strict rest. But Mia showed us her quiet strength… and slowly, she began to bounce back 💛 Now, Mia is ready. Ready for love, for comfort, and for a life she’s never truly known. She may not shout for attention... she’s older, smaller, and black, which sadly means she’s often overlooked. But those who take the time to see her will find the gentlest soul. We truly haven’t seen a bad bone in her. ✨ Great with all people ✨ Lovely with other dogs ✨ Calm, kind, and easy to love Mia isn’t asking for much… just a peaceful home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be adored the way she deserves. A cosy bed, a quiet routine, and a family to call her own, that’s her dream. 📍 Ready to travel in May 📄 Full RBU 🐾 Full post-adoption support, including access to a behaviourist 🚐 Transport costs from £1100 depending on UK location (home drop-off) If you can offer Mia the soft landing she’s been waiting for, please get in touch 💌 And if you can’t adopt right now, sharing her story could change her life. Let’s not let Mia be overlooked any longer 🖤 #rescuedog #adopt
