The education team had a wonderful time tabling yesterday at the Back to School Resource Fair for Adult Learners! 📖🎒The event was hosted by the Mayor's Office of Education at City Hall in honor of Adult Education and Family Literacy Week.
We are hiring a part-time Cultural Health Navigator who speaks Haitian Creole to play a critical role in engaging Philadelphia’s Haitian immigrant and refugee communities.
We are also looking for volunteers to support our food distribution program on Tuesdays!

Check out this awesome video and song of our Fathers & Kids Community Group Ride that happened last month! This ride was designed for dads, kids, and adult male caregivers, exploring parts of the Schuylkill River Trail. This ride was created in partnership with the @bcgp , @gpca_phila, and @AFAHO .

AFAHO was selected as an @RideIndego Community Ambassador for 2026! We hosted a bike education class in partnership with Indego and the @bcgp. Thank you to Lor Song for leading the class, which focused on street safety, communicating with drivers, and navigating Philly streets.
We had a wonderful Spring Health Screening Day this month, where over 60 community members joined us! A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers and providers: Sight Savers, UCC, and @PennCancer from Penn Medicine, @HepBFoundation, @CourageMedicine, and Louidine Joseph-Scott.
