These two first pitches perfectly symbolize the difference in American crisis response, 20 years apart.

President Bush throws the first pitch of Game 3 of the 2001 World Series after 9/11
As silly as it sounds, it was important for him to throw a strike. No matter what you think of him, that was clutch/badass. Used the regulation rubber as well. Big time...
25 years later and I still think this is the greatest ceremonial first pitch ever

The United States has saved Canada untold millions of dollars over the last 30 years in unneeded Stanley Cup parades and they thank us with a trade war.

This is incredible. It’s so rare today that this stands out like a sore thumb.
But it wasn’t so long ago that people went to Washington to work together to get things done.
John Fetterman is a class act and a patriot. Well done.
Thank you to my friend @JohnFetterman.
We were both sent to Washington to fight for what’s best for PA. Standing up for steel was never going to be a partisan thing.
Grateful for the kind words tonight.

Boston has just been “certified as a 4-star destination” for immigrants (whatever that means) and the comments on a local NBC affiliate’s video tell you everything:
"Come to Boston we'd rather have u than our own people"
"Exactly why I moved to Florida."
"Not related, housing, taxes, food, energy, child care, education, healthcare costs are all highest in the nation!"
"So in other words, we’re here to reward people that came in this country illegally and the law abiding citizens get the shaft"
"There's a comfy hotel room & debit card for anyone from out of town"
"What a joke. All the taxes they charge you just to give handouts to illegal immigrants"
"They want you to pay more money work hard and longer so you can help pay for immigrants that need services? That's not fair at all!"
"Come pay $4k for a studio so your Somali neighbor can get food stamps and free"
Democrats love immigrants more than Americans. Prove me wrong.

So true…wait for it!
Bill Maher ends his show with a brutal minute-long takedown of Anthony Fauci and the liberal elites who turned him into a self-aggrandizing celebrity.
The last line of the entire thing was pure cinema.
His audience burst out into a massive applause the moment they heard it.
MAHER: “But you have to try awfully hard not to notice how much Fauci is energized by being embraced by one particular cultural tribe.”
“It was Julia Roberts who was telling Fauci he was Jesus with a petri dish. Not Randy Quaid.”
“And that side likes to think of themselves as the purely ‘Science’ people, even though keeping kids out of school that long and traumatizing two-year-olds with masks wasn’t good science.”
“Fauci supported some strange policies for such an esteemed epidemiologist.”
“Natural immunity doesn’t count now? Meaning, even if you’ve had the disease, you still had to get the shot?”
“That sounds more like what Pfizer and Fauci’s celebrity friends wanted to hear.”
“He let this shit go to his head.”
“Turns out the really dangerous ‘intimate contact’ wasn’t shaking hands, it was kissing ass!”
[Laughter and applause]
