Anyone that thinks WWE fumbled Ilja doesn’t understand wrestling. There is only so much money and fans you can draw with an average sized guy who wrestles well. WWE wants stars, which is why they have way more fans and higher ratings AEW wants bangers, which don’t draw

AEW’s main roster can’t beat NXT in the ratings. AEW can’t consistently draw over 3,000 people for their TV shows. They are more likely to eliminate themselves before they even dent WWE
