As of this evening, 10/4, AERObridge is ceasing its Hurricane Helene disaster response operations. With ground access now restored to previously unreachable areas, supplies can be transported by truck to those in need. (1/3)
AERObridge is closely monitoring Hurricane Isaias. If activation is needed, we’ll mobilize volunteer pilots and ground teams to deliver critical supplies to affected communities. AERObridge welcomes new volunteer pilots and ground crew members. Sign up at aerobridge.vpoids.org/join

A first hand look at what it's like to ride along on our initial pathfinding disaster relief mission with AEROBridge. Mandy Miles from Keys Weekly joined us on a flight and published this exceptional article. keysweekly.com/42/keys-weekl…
AERObridge NON-Activation for Hurricane Milton - Our team has been coordinating with officials and we do not feel there is a need for activation of air relief assets at this time. This is a direct result of efficient ground transport being viable.
IMPORTANT: AERObridge is currently working with our partners to assess impacted areas and ground relief infrastructure viability. We actively have partner SAR assets engaged and will communicate with volunteers should an activation become necessary. Please do not self-deploy!
Pilots:
Please take a moment to review FAA procedures for using the Aerobridge call sign on compassion flights. Flying under the Aerobridge call sign during disaster response missions offers several benefits, including streamlined coordination with Air Traffic Control (ATC).(1/2)
As of October 8, 2024, Aerobridge is closely monitoring the path of Hurricane Milton. If activation becomes necessary, we will call upon our volunteers once again to assist those in need.
Monitor our social media as the storm progresses.
Recently AERObridge received information pilots had experienced issues at 6A4 in relation to their cargo being demanded by local authorities. We were concerned and sent a flight with cargo into 6A4 to get current information so that we could assist our pilots. (1/5)
However, if an aircraft has cargo earmarked for another recipient, we cannot speak to how that situation might unfold.

Huge thank you to everyone who sent supplies in from the Amazon Wish List. Every item has been picked up by our amazing volunteer pilot, George, and have now been transported into communities who need them. Thank you to George and all of the other volunteers who made this happen.
All currently scheduled flights will proceed, but no additional missions will be planned beyond today unless specific requests arise. Pilots interested in flying specific missions can still reach out to have one arranged. (2/3)
