Mihoyo is working on implementing AI to manage character's personalities.
The goal is to create a more immersive experience by generating dialogues and actions tailor made to the players previous interactions, in regard to this a couple of days ago they presented an AI board game to the 2026 Yunqi conference:
Board games feature dense dialogue, clear rules, and outcomes at every step, making them a perfect test of whether AI characters can maintain their persona while assessing the situation, making choices, and remembering past "grudges" with the player.
As for the specifics of how to play, we won't go into details here.
What’s really interesting is:
The same set of characters and rules can lead to completely different relationships and stories depending on what players say and what choices they make.
