Today I got to hear from @GuitarsOverGuns—one of @MBK_Alliance’s Freedom Summer ‘22 recipients—about how they’re working to support young people on the South Side of Chicago. When the Obama Presidential Center opens, it will offer spaces and programming just like this. Thanks for letting me join!

Music has always had the power to connect and inspire us. At the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, @EddieVedder and the young people from @GuitarsOverGuns wrote and performed a profoundly moving song, ‘Better Believe,’ that spoke to each of them and all of us.

This moment is what it’s all about: mentorship, leadership, opportunity, and giving young people a voice. Our friend @add2themc from @guitarsoverguns said it best: “It shouldn’t be rare for someone to care about you.” Watch the full music video at EddieVedder.lnk.to/makingofb…

Busta Rhymes played the Dilla-Gence 2 album with J Dilla Sunday night in Chicago. Busta said the album should be out very soon, they’re just waiting on a few samples to clear. The album sounded great so far. Ma Dukes on the intro. (Event by John Monopoly, hosted by Add-2)

The tragic death of Isaac T. Johnson in a Chicago-area MMA fight is raising serious questions about the official's conduct. Footage here shows the referee allowing the contest to continue for 13 seconds; far exceeding the mandatory 8-count—even as fans begged for a stoppage. 🔗READ - scoopb.com/2025/11/isaac-t-j…

"Letters" by @chancetherapper might be the most powerful & honest record I have heard all year. Can't wait til he performs it on tv with a choir on a late night show
