Financing Africa’s Agrifood Systems!
@TheAGRF #AFSForum2026, @AKADEMIYA2063 and @Welthungerhilfe will unveil AgriBridge Policy Note #2.
This policy brief explores how we can shift from fragmented finance toward coalition-based agrifood systems investments, building approaches that are coordinated, tailored to diverse realities, and accountable for impact.
Key recommendations include:
-Building multi-stakeholder financing coalitions that bring together public and private actors, farmers' organizations, SMEs, women and youth entrepreneurs, and civil society around shared priorities.
-Ensuring clear and complementary roles for public and private finance—public finance for public goods and enabling environments; private finance for scaling responsible investments in agri-SMEs and midstream value chains.
