BREAKING: We sued the Elizabeth School District after they removed 19 books from school libraries.
This violated federal and state constitutional free speech protections.
Depriving students of access to books in their school library because of the board’s disagreement with the ideas in them violates both the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Free Speech Clause of the Colorado Constitution.
We’ll keep fighting this partisan and politically motivated censorship. Students deserve to have access to a diversity of ideas and viewpoints in their school libraries.

We’re asking the Colorado Supreme Court to reaffirm equal protection doctrine and reverse the municipal court’s decision.
Since 2014, CBI allowed Woods to alter forensic evidence. 809 impacted cases have been identified so far.
Defendants may have lost the only evidence proving their factual innocence. Victims that endured invasive forensic exams may have lost their chance to identify perpetrators.
While CBI is allowing for an external audit, it only covers a two-year timeframe.
Any rigorous investigation must encompass the full period of Woods’ misconduct.
We look forward to CBI’s response.
